The Hyatt @ Olive 8 is my second favorite hotel in Seattle, after the Grand Hyatt across the street. It's a younger, hipper version from the same hotel family and I highly recommend it, especially for those who need a hotel to work out in. It's got a nice pool, something lacking at the Grand Hyatt.

We travel a lot and I can honestly say that this is definitely one of the best experiences we have had with a hotel. Everyone was very friendly and very accommodating. My son and I stayed here this past weekend for 2 nights and wanted to get as much time in Seattle as we could so we arrived just as folks were checking out! The front desk were very kind to offer to store our luggage safely, park our car and indicated they would phone us when our room was ready. So we went out for a really nice lunch and visited the EMP museum and then got the call from the hotel that our room was ready well before the 4 pm check in time even though they were at 100% occupancy. The room was a good size ( and we just got the standard 2 queen room) and we found it very quiet - no street noise or noise from neighbors. Contrary to what another poster mentioned about poor lighting in the room, we did not experience that in fact we didn't find the need to turn on all the lights. Maybe some people just have different taste in lighting. Also regarding the sliding bathroom door, neither my son or I (I am his mother) had any issues with inadequate privacy and trust me we both really like our privacy. It was nice to enjoy the pool and whirlpool after a long day of walking. The food was great from Urbane - had breakfast here both days, plus desert one night. Hotel was in a great location - close to great restaurants and shopping and close to the monorail

Thank you so much for your comments. We always do our very best to accommodate any needs or circumstances that our guests encounter; we're so glad that we were able to get you and your son in with an early check in. That's wonderful that you were able to not only experience all of our great amenities with in the hotel, including the heated saline lap pool, jacuzzi and Urbane, but also were able to explore some great attractions that Seattle has to offer like the EMP. We would love to have you back with us during your next visit to the area.

I stayed here with my wife for a weekend in July and were quite impressed with the stay. Even though we booked last-minute on a very busy weekend, the price was considerably less than comparable hotels in the area. The room was modern, large, and clean. The robes in the rooms were appreciated. We were able to get a room on a high floor with a partial view of Lake Union. The location was perfect. It was close to shopping, pike place market, capitol hill, and we were able to walk everywhere. All the amenities at the hotel such as the restaurant, coffee shop, pool, & fitness area were all beautifully modern and well-maintained.

A particular thank you to Brittany at the front desk. She was very warm and friendly and made the check-in process a pleasure after a long day of travelling. My wife and I had recently gotten married but never went on a honeymoon because of work and school commitments, so this weekend was a mini-honeymoon for us. Brittany went out of her way to make this weekend very special for us by providing us with early check-in to a beautiful room and delivering a fantastic bottle of wine with a handwritten card and chocolates. Since our stay I have recommend this hotel to friends and family and I would definitely stay here again when I come to Seattle.

Professional and friendly staff. Offers nice upgrades to diamond members. Perfectly located nearby the monorail. I stayed for 4 nights without the need for a car or anything else.

The breakfast was nice addition for free, where thy have us 26 dollars credit for breakfast.

The only issue is that the hotel is located mid downtown so don't expect the greatest views.

The gym is amazing !

This hotel is located in the heart of Seattle, between Pine and Pike streets, a few blocks from Pike Market.
There are lots of restaurants close to hotel and a big mall with dozens of stores.
Also, the rooms are wide and confortable, staff are very attentive, and there are lots of ammenities like pool, spa and fitting room.
The negative points are: expensive stuffs, as breakfast, in the hotel and no good public transportation close to it. The latter is indiferent, because in Seattle you make evreything by foot.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: all the rooms seems to be good

My wife and I stayed here with a late arrival and early departure the next morning for Victoria. The hotel staff was fantastic and friendly. Everything about the hotel was spotless from the room, bathroom, pool, gym and lobby. It's a perfect location for walking around downtown as well as taking a quick and inexpensive Uber or Taxi down to the ferries.

PS - I read reviews of people having a problem with the sliding door in the bathroom, with the glass shower wall as well. This is not a problem at all. And the showers are amazing.
