Description: Spur Gastropub An intimate urban pub in Belltown. Plates to share. Cocktails to entice. Chefs Brian McCracken and Dana Tough opened Spur in Seattle’s Belltown in 2008 and already it’s been recognized by Food & Wine magazine as one of the country’s top restaurants. Acknowledged for turning out some of the best dishes and cocktails in town by local media, the Chefs were selected as "Rising Star Chefs" nationally by the industry insider magazine StarChefs. In addition to earning the attention of Wine & Spirits magazine, their cocktails have made Spur one of Seattle’s top 10 bars. The Chefs’ collaboration dates back to their time in the kitchen at Maria Hines’ Earth and Ocean restaurant, together on Hines’ traveling team at the 2005 James Beard Dinner in New York, and today creating their menus at Spur.

Loved this place. We did the 5 course tasting menu - absolutely great how there is 2 options and each person can choose their own. We alternated options but then just shared them so we both got to try 10 different things. Each course was really interesting, a great mix of innovative flavours and incredibly well balanced. The Wagyu was up there with the best I have ever had.

We decided to match courses with beers and I loved their range. From a local ale to a Germany oak smoked dopplebock this was spectacular stuff.

Definitely a brilliant choice when in Seattle.

Want to enjoy an incredible meal that you'd see on Top Chef, TV, or another show? Then go to Spur Gastropub. You will be very very happy that you did.

Went to Spur Gastropub after a Seahawks game and it was definitely worth the hike from CenturyLink field. To be clear - this place is a MUST VISIT in Seattle. The food was extraordinary, the drinks fabulous, and the service was uncommonly good.

Drinks: Ken Gray, the mixologist, is fantastic. If you enjoy whiskey, the "Noble Old Fashioned" is great. It's a nice single malt whiskey with maple syrup and homemade bitters. I love a good old fashioned, and this one was the best I've ever had. It left me wanting to just say there and drink all night long.

Appetizers: The Sockeye Salmon Crustini were absolutely incredible. The fresh salmon was on whipped mascarpone, pickled shallot and caper, on a tasty crustini. What a great way to start off the meal!

Entrees: We had the slow cooked pork cheeks that came on a crispy spaetzle with a jicama slaw and red cabbage puree. The pork was absolutely amazing - tender and cooked to perfection. It melted in your mouth, and was well accompanied.

Dessert: We opted to try the homemade blood orange sorbet and banana ice cream. Both came with complimenting flavor profiles. The banana ice cream, for example, was served over a roasted chopped peanuts and chocolate ganache. Along with a nice cup of coffee, it just doesn't get much better.

Kid friendly: Not really. The menu is too sophisticated.

Price: MUCH better than anticipated. For drinks, appetizers, entrees, dessert, and coffee - just about $100 for two.

Atmosphere: Nicely done. This is a relatively small place and is great for couples or groups of four. Larger parties may have difficulty being comfortable.

All in all - this is a great date night place to eat. It will leave you wanting to return soon. Dining out does not get much better than Spur Gastropub.

This was a great experience. Each meal was paired with a different cocktail, how could you go wrong. Some cocktails I liked others I didn't. But it was a great way to try some new things and enjoy an excellent meal!

Went to this place with a group of friends and had a great meal. The chicory salad, salmon, and chicken were superb. The ingredients were all fresh and the small plates were perfect for sharing. Will be coming back again soon.
