“Very helpful staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 December 2011

We stayed here for 5 nights, two rooms. Rooms were very nice, the staff was very helpful and professional, the breakfast was ok. Still prefer the breakfast at Hampton Inn. The exercise room is excellent and opened 24 hours. Didn't use the spa or pool. Did use the elevator accessed from the garage and it is very quick, as opposed to the one near the lobby, which is used by more people. Really liked the atmosphere of this hotel and plan to stay there again in a few months. We had a car so didn't use the shuttle.

Stayed here four nights while visiting with family. Loved the location; can get to downtown attractions via trolley (end of the line is 2 blocks from the hotel), yet not as congested as being in the heart of downtown. Besides that, the shuttle driver(s) are VERY accomodating - pleasant, and will veer off the scheduled stops to customize what you need if they can swing it. Even offered to take our whole family to whatever dinner spot we picked, even tho' they weren't all staying at the hotel! Rooms are very comfortable and clean and ours was very good sized - we even had a fireplace! Even tho' they do not have a bar or restaurant, there are several nice places within walking distance on beautiful Lake Union. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones we've had - along with the standard waffle, cereal, and pastries, they also had scrambled eggs, sausage and canadian bacon - everything was warm and tasty! Will probably be our go-to place next time we go to Seattle to see the family!

Stayed here before. Chose this time because of free, gated parking; free breakfast; beautiful scenery over Lake Union; easy access to downtown and to airport. Service by the staff was excellent, and with the discounted rate we received, we just could not ask for more. Takes about 20 minutes to drive to the airport, and about 5-10 to drive downtown. Hotel's shuttle will drop you off at key spots in Seattle, like Pike Place Market, and pick you up. Hotel is on a trolley line, so transportation from this location is very, very easy. Nice indoor pool for a few short relaxing laps.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Lake Union will probably cost more, depending on availability, but the "View Room...

This hotel exceeded out expectation. From the moment we checked in we had good vibes. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Location of the hotel was beautiful but a little way out of the city, but they provided a shuttle to 3 different locations in the city. The breakfast was very nice as was the room. They also had free parking which was a relief as we parked our car and never went back to it until we were leaving. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

What an unexpected treat! We arrived early evening and were greeting cheerfully and efficiently by the staff at the desk. Our (myself, my daughter and my granddaughter) reason for staying was for my granddaughter's surgery the following morning at Children's Hospital. We wanted her to have an opportunity to swim and play as well as be sure we would be at the hospital on time the following morning. We were booked in a double queen room without a view and the young man at the desk kindly upgraded us to a view room since the hotel was not full. My granddaughter loved watching the sea planes and the space needle! The pool area was clean (although the pool was a bit cool) and we all enjoyed playing for a couple of hours and then soaking in the hot tub. The room was clean and well appointed and we especially appreciated the second sink area when getting ready the following morning. When my daughter went to the desk to see if there was a cork screw available to borrow, she was given a complimentary one to take home. We appreciated the opportunity for express check out in the morning as we had an early departure and it was one less thing to do. Overall, this was a very positive stay and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and plan to return with my husband for a more relaxing visit in the future. The breakfast wasn't available when we departed (too early) but the room looked lovely and I am sure it would have been good. What makes this hotel stand out is the staff. We didn't run into anyone that wasn't cheerful and devoted to making our stay the best it could be. As many of you travelers know, this is not the 'norm' these days. The hiring and training practices at this hotel must be exceptional and it didn't go unnoticed.

Everything about this hotel was "really great"! We were there for our anniversary and I cannot say enough about our experience. The hotel room, staff, and breakfast were wonderful. The free shuttle to desirable Seattle downtown locations and the free parking were both a fantastic plus. We were able to secure a nice rate discount on the internet. Highly recommend this hotel for couples traveling to Seattle.

My wife and I stayed at the Silver Cloud Inn and loved it! The staff was super nice, gave us great recommendations and we used the shuttle service a lot. We did all the tourist attractions and ate at some great places. The hotel itself has a business center with new computers and printers that really helped out to print coupons, maps, and boarding passes. The breakfast is great with a good selection of hot and cold items. Will stay here again next time we visit!

Room Tip: In cold months, there are rooms with fireplaces available!
