My husband and I visited Seattle in June. This hotel is close to the Space Needle, Monorail, Clipper Tours. We had the best time. The breakfast was great. We ate every morning of our stay. We took the Victoria Clipper one morning had to be there by 6:30 am. We just grabbed a bag at the front desk with breakfast bars, fruit, water a muffin to go. Perfect! There's a QFC Market on the corner that has a Starbucks inside and check out the Sushi Land near by on 5th a great deal. We did so much, and our room was always clean, quiet, peaceful!

This was our first trip to Seattle for my wife and I together. I chose to stay here because it was a block away from the Rock n Roll Marathon start/finish lines, so it was hugely accessible for me running the marathon. This place was outstanding. It's within a street block of a convenience mart, supermarket, and New York Pizza & Bar, which has a broad menu and excellent happy hour. The hotel is only two blocks away from Seattle Center, mass transit, and some more great local restaurants-Bambinos serves awesome pizza and local craft beers!!! The rooms were well appointed and super clean. The bed was super comfortable and they even wash the duvet between every guest stay. The bathroom/shower was spacious and well designed. If we ever make it back to Seattle again we are staying here...Great Job Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle Downtown!!!!!

Although this hotel is not in the most scenic part of town, it was still very convenient to the main attractions, waterside and transport. Just wear comfortable shoes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The pros:

1. Free cookies every evening at 5:30. If that doesn't sell you on staying there, I don't know what will.
2. Large, comfortable suites with kitchens.
3. Close proximity to Seattle Center (with Space Needle, food court, and monorail). About four blocks down hill, and an easy walk.
4. Friendly, large supermarket on the next corner.
5. Not too far from the waterfront.
6. Free breakfast. Nothing flash, but adequate to get your day going.
7. Free wi-fi
8. Plenty of restaurants or food courts within walking distance or a walk and monorail ride away.
9. Did I mention the cookies?

Cons:

1. The hotel is a little tired looking inside. Didn't bother us, but if someone is expecting something very modern and fresh, they may be disappointed.
2. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were either too soft or too firm. I'm not really complaining, though, because everyone is different when it comes to pillows.
3. It isn't the most scenic location, but it is a good location all the same (as mentioned above)
4. There were no cookies in the morning. ;-)

Although the piers are within walking distance, it is too far and steep (for the final blocks) to attempt with baggage. So if you stay at the hotel before a cruise or going on the Victoria Clipper, you will need to arrange for a taxi, shuttle or town car. We rang for taxi on what was probably the worst day to try and travel around Seattle (during the Rock & Roll Marathon) but our taxi still got us to Pier 69 in loads of time for about $10, so it is a reasonably priced Seattle hotel for anyone going on a cruise.

I wouldn't have any hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle, particularly if for a few days or less.

We were in Seattle for the weekend for a competition. We stayed at the Seattle Hampton Inn for three days. The hotel is nice but very crowded -it is apparently at or near capacity all summer. That means breakfast is a busy affair.
The hotel layout is somewhat confusing and it appears there are rooms in all nooks and crannies. The suites are nice, with fireplaces and flat screen TV's. The new workout room is well appointed. A pool would be nice.

The hotel is also conveniently located near major attractions. There is a garage but you pay. Wifi is spotty in some areas. Seattle traffic is not fun though.

Room Tip: The suites are nice and worth the upgrade

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I'm sorry the breakfast area was busy during your stay. We do have two nice outdoor patio's to dine on when the weather is nice. We thank you for your business and hope to see you again in Seattle!

I travel to Seattle a few times each year on business and normally stay at a more downtown location. However, this time around, rooms were unavailable at a couple of the locations I regularly use. I came upon this Hampton and, based on my experience with the brand previously, decided to give it a try. The Seattle version of this chain did not disappoint. The location was clean, well managed and was surprisingly close to some of the business locations I typically visit. It's a short walk to several very good, neighborhood type restaurants. If you're looking for a clean, no frills stay, I would highly recommend this hotel.

I thought everything was great. Excellent for a Hampton. The staff was very quick with all our requests and tried to assist us with whatever they could including fixing our suitcase that the airlines broke. The location was very close to multiple attractions or just a short taxi ride away.

This hotel is the typical Hampton Inn with a convenient location near the Space Needle. It is a bit of a walk to downtown shopping and Pike place though.

I received a warm welcome although the place was busy. The rooms are in excellent condition, kept very clean and updated. I did not get a chance to sample the breakfast.
