The view from the Space Needle is amazing but currently they are under construction and still remaining open so you can still go up the needle.

The rotating Restaurant is under construction as well so check before you go if you plan on eating at the Needle.

You can also go in the day time and night time so once you buy the tickets, if you really enjoy the day view and want to come back at night, it has to be done the same day but no additional charge.

I gave it the three stars because of the construction which majorly impacts your experience.

Space Needle and particularly the restaurant at the top are a must see in Seattle. Not for the food (it is awfully overpriced as at any tourist trap), but for the views. The kids would also enjoy the rotating motion - it will keep them entertained, while you'd be able to have a conversation. Choose a clear sunny day in the summer, otherwise there is absolutely no point.

An observation tower you can see the whole city from here. Although it is under construction they charge you the same 30 dlls, so it is not worth it. I truly recommend waiting until it is finished.
Better places to visit Go to Kerry Park, Olympic park, Pike Place, Great Wheel, Chihuly Garden

It is one of the iconic places of Seattle. I first visited the Needle during the 1962 Worlds fair. It was over an hour wait in line, and cost $1.00 to go up to the observation deck. It will now cost you aproximately $27. Awesome view from the top, and recommended as a one time experience. If it was cheaper I'd go more often. That trip here for Fathers day was my first and only other time since 1962.
