We had an awesome stay here. Spacious rooms, great amenities (we loved the room service, it was affordable and delicious, in-room dining is usually one or the other), the people were super nice. The hotel is located a few blocks away from the market and real downtown/waterfront area, but conveniently located a short walk from the Space Needle and all the stuff on the other side of the downtown area, too.

The little cafe in the hotel is great and the food is delicious. The coffee and cupcake thing they do in the afternoon is reminiscent of another hotel I love (in Denver, the Magnolia Hotel)... these very small touches make a huge difference. The hotel is comfortable and the decor is cute. Everything was super clean. Right before staying here I stayed at a hotel with about 3 cable channels so I was really grateful for the extra TV channels (even though we were certainly not there to laze around and watch TV, it was a nice amenity).

I was really happy with our stay. I don't have a single complaint. Housekeeping never bothered us -- not once -- everything was perfect and the price was amazing. If I end up back in Seattle I will absolutely stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. In town for a couple of days to watch the Hawks NFC Championship game pounding of the 49'ers. Rooms are swanky-cool with trendiness all over the hotel. We like the " kitschy experience" so it was right up our alley. Our room was very comfortable with really great showers and a comfy bed. The location can't be beat and you can take the Lightrail from the airport and walk everywhere downtown-- no rental car needed. Top Pot Doughnuts right across the street and Icon Grill and Dahlia Lounge just down the road for great dining. Definitely a recommend for a cool and fun hotel experience.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the rail.

This is an excellent hotel that provides all the necessary amenities and is strategically located - close to downtown and some of the major sightseeing spots in Seattle. Moreover, since the hotel provides bikes for free, visitors have another great means to explore the city and waterfront. So overall, this hotel is just a great place to stay.

Decor is nice, decent location, decent amenities. Seemed pretty clean for a recently updated place. Friendly staff at the front desk, complentary bicyles are a nice touch although we were there during a wind and rain storm. Pretty pricey for what you get, rooms are very tiny, lighting is terrible and DO NOT EAT THERE! Horrible experience, food not good, service ok at best..in addition you pay for parking there. Even though it was to our understanding that is was part of our stay and we overheard it being said to another couple as they were checking in. Don't be fooled by the price they first charge you for, I paid an extra $36.00 with taxes, parking etc. We won't be staying there again, we would suggest you don't either. Pick LaQuinta, they have free parking and free breakfast and their rooms are much bigger.

Room Tip: Choose another place to stay!

This is our second time at the Hotel 5 in Seattle and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time. What is there not to love about this place?! When we park, we don't move our truck again until it is time to leave. The proximity to the Space Needle and Pike Place are great and offer a perfect stroll through the city. The décor is modern and edgy in the lobby as well as hallways and rooms. The last time we stayed they didn't have a fitness center, but they do now...kudos Hotel 5. We always get a room facing 5th avenue. As usual the room was immaculately clean, the staff was pleasant and attentive, Max's café (on-site) was scrumptious, the complimentary bicycles and coffee/muffins were a nice touch---just love it here! Hotel 5 supports the troops, so the value is great. If you pose a question to them via email, their response is swift and conscientious. I strongly urge anyone reading this to go with this Hotel, you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to come back again.

Room Tip: Go with a room facing 5th avenue, where the monorail is. I do not think it is noisy at all, and it o...

My husband and I stayed here over the Valentine's weekend from Friday-Sunday. We were promptly and politely checked in and given a room. We paid $300 total for two nights which is a great deal for nearly downtown Seattle!

A good word for the room is that it's cool. Honestly, I expected a rock hard bed and a less than great room but it went beyond my expectations. Everything was well stocked and the TV had some good channels on it. The room was just fun as far as comfort and style is concerned.

Cons: our room's location. It was truly awful. Friday night I didn't sleep a wink because loads of insanely loud drunk people walked by our room all night and this was worsened by the fact that the elevator was right by our room. Additionally, 5th avenue was loud...sirens, monorail, horns, etc. But again, not at the fault of the hotel and I just recommend you stay away from the rooms that face 5th if you need peace & quiet to sleep. Our room was 515 which was literally in front of the elevator, FYI.

Another tip - parking is $15 dollars within the hotel's parking lot, but literally half a block away it's $17 for 24 hours. We just did that.

Besides that, I am EXCITED to stay here again! It's definitely in a great location and on top of that, there is free coffee, tea, and CUPCAKES!!!! starting at 3PM in the lobby from the local cupcake place around the corner.

Room Tip: - Try to avoid any room right in front of the elevator for noise control. - 5th avenue side is extr...

What a great hotel! Clean, stylish and eclectic. Check out the complimentary bikes they let you check out. That was so much fun. The rooms were very nice and loved the modern look. Shower was great and bathroom was spacious. Great hotel. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Seattle. Within walking distance to the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Musesum, Pike's Market, and all kinds of shopping! STAY HERE! You will love it!
