This hotel was a great surprise! I am a very picky hotel goer. I hate hotels with cheap ikea furniture, dated washrooms, unwashed comforters, filthy throw pillows and carpeted floors! We are in 2014 ppl, get with it!!

I was pleasantly surprised with everything overall at this hotel. First off it was a great price point given the location and season. Great Curb appeal, art deco style throughout, Clean rooms with, hardwood floors, clean duvets, upgraded washrooms and only a few blocks from the city centre and pikes market. This hotel has it all for a great Seattle stay!

Going above and beyond they even have little yellow bikes with baskets complimentary for guest use, with helmets and locks to explore downtown! too cute!

All the staff were pleasant and helpful. I wanted to check out the best steak house which I had been told was The Met. I asked a staff member about it and he said it was fabulous but another option was a Brazillian steakhouse called Ipenema. It had a trendier atmosphere and a unique experience where they shave different types of steak and meat for your try, right infront of you! It was all you could eat plus a buffet for only $50/pp! It was the best recommendation!

Overall this was a great Hotel I would recommend it to anyone and it will be my hotel of choice for our next visit!

My daughter in law booked the hotel and we were all pleasantly surprised. Great location, beauitful lobby and room and the staff are wonderful. Pineapple cupcakes were fantastic. We had only breakfast at the hotel and the french toast was to die for. There's also a small grocery store a block away convenient for the late night cocktail in the room. My son and his wife live in Oregon and frequently visit Seattle and they will be returning to Hotel Five and hopefully I will too.

Great hotel, friendly staff, perfect location. The cafe in the hotel is very good as well- order the pancakes or French toast! The decor of the hotel is very cool. The freebie extras were a nice touch- delicious cupcakes served daily at 3pm. We will definitely stay here again if in Seattle!

Lovely modern and trendy hotel located in the more bohemian part of Seattle - Belltown. Very friendly staff, with free bike hire available (first come first served). Walking distance to Space Needle (~15-20 mins) and all of the other museums around there, but don't be fooled by the monorail in the pictures. There are only two stops and neither is that close.

Also, despite the WiFi being shown as chargeable they gave us it for free as we had booked via Expedia. Not sure why, but very welcome.

Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with this place. The hotel is small, and the neighborhood (at least on a Saturday) is quiet and pleasant, yet a short walk to the Space Needle complex, from which you can take the Monorail downtown. A bit far for the waterfront, but we found cabs easy enough to get. Our room was very comfortable and the front desk staff couldn’t have been nicer. For breakfast, there’s a little closet-bar that serves bagels, breakfast sandwiches etc. that you can then eat in the lobby. Worked well for us early on a Sunday morning, might be a little crowded otherwise, but pleasant. We also appreciated having real glasses, rather than plastic, in the bathroom - better for the environment! Only downside: few restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. Also, I am in the apparent minority that likes fresh air, especially in a place like Seattle where the evenings are so deliciously cool. The windows do open a little bit (this must be a law that they don’t open all the way), but if your room is in the back, you’ll hear some mechanical noises all night (the AC condensors?). I got used to it, though, and still would enthusiastically recommend this hotel.

Hotel 5 is a boutique hotel located walking distance between the Space Needle and Pikes Fish Market. Its location is fantastic, and parking is on sight for a small fee. The Hotel 5 experience starts as soon as you walk through the door. The lobby has several comfortable sitting areas. There was a concierge in the lobby to greet and answer questions, give directions, or assist us no matter when we passed through. The front desk staff were professional and very helpful. They also had bikes to borrow to explore the city. The room was a good size for a city hotel, CLEAN with FREE bottled water. The beds, which are the most important, were comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size, though my daughter found the sliding door to be unconventional. We did not have a view since we stayed on a lower floor. The decor is unique and fun. Hotel 5 has a restaurant on sight, though we chose to eat at neighborhood venues. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Seattle.
