“Super nice and free!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2012

I haven't even been inside yet and I love this place - took a guest there when it was closed and we strolled around outside admiring all the gorgeous landscaping and flowers in spring. Good parking, and to go in costs nothing!

“A wonderful free attraction in Seattle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2012

Beautiful Victorian glass conservatory in Volunteer Park where the Asian Art Museum is as well as the old water tower with great views 360 degrees of Seattle - must beable to walk 100 plus stairs for this view. The conservatory is full of gorgeous plants from different temperate zones - well worth a stroll inside plus there is a nice little gift shop to support the conservatory.

This was a lovely buiding, but the only bad thing I would say about it was that loads of school kids were just hanging around the door. and you cant take pictures.

“Beautiful place to walk around!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2012

We walked to Volunteer Park from our apartment on 14th Street while were were visiting Seattle. There are a lot of walking paths through the gardens that we meandered around. It was not crowded and very peaceful. They have an old watertower with stairs to the top. It was an easy climb and the view at the top is incredible. The greenhouse is open to the public with amazing display of native northwest vegetation and beautiful orchids. If you don't mind some walking and want an affordable, peaceful afternoon, stroll through Volunteer Park. There are several trails out of Volunteer Park that will take you to the waterfront. The locals were very helpful in sending us down the right trails!
