Go here and walk up 108 steps in the water town for a awesome 360 degree view of the city and mountains -- and it's FREE!

The water tower in Volunteer Park is one of the best views of the expanse of Seattle, and one of the best photo ops, by far The water tower requires a hike up what seems like 5 flights of stairs, as you're walking up steep stairs that wind around the water tank to get to the top. Once you get there, it's amazing. You can even see Bellevue, a part of Seattle, but about 10 miles away. The big black sculpture in front of the Asian Museum is the best photo op in Seattle. If you stand to the side, and get someone to take the pic that center the view of the Space Needle through the center of the Sculpture, you can get some very memorable photos. The Conservatory is also very nice with a tropical area, including orchids and usually an 'in season' area. The Asian museum is very beautiful, but otherwise there is no fee for parking, no entrance fee to any thing else.

Very cute conservatory with 5 different climate rooms including tropical, moderate, and dry. They have beautiful tulips that sported a great background for taking portraits with friends, as well as succulents that are often very photogenic on their own. There were a lot of plants with unusual and colorful foliage in the more tropical rooms along with tropical flowers blooming. Very clean and well kept up and managed, hosting a cute little gift shop.

There is a kiosk when you enter the conservatory that will print up a visitors sticker for you to put on your shirt after paying $4 for entry.

Can't beat the scenery on this park. It's beautiful, it's so green! Within the park are Seattle Asian Art Museum, The Volunteer Park Conservatory, The Volunteer Park Water Tower, Playground, Pond, Picnic Area, The Black Sun art work by Noguchi, Plants, Lush gardens, Grass, Trees and more Trees! It doesn't feel like you're In the heart of the city. You also have a great view of the Space Needle from the park. It's free to walk in, it's family friendly, park is open till 10:00pm but some areas are not well lit up so take precautions. You can get lost in the dark if you intend to do some night walking. It's best to go when its bright and see all the beautiful sight this park has to offer. There's a minimal fee to go in the Conservatory and the Museum. If you are tourist and are staying within Capitol Hill, it is walkable. If you're staying Downtown, it's a bus ride from 3rd and Pike. Most of the Buses that goes to University of Washington goes there, or if you drive, there's ample parking space in the park. You can find more info through Seattle Parks and Recreation website!
