After booking an excursion on the wrong date (my error) the Argosy staff went way above and beyond to attempt to change the date, and when that was not possible, worked hard to find an alternate bay cruise that would fit my time line. I can not speak highly enough regarding the effort, professionalism and personal interest they took in this case.

We took the locks cruise. It was a pleasant cruise and the guide was very good. She gave lots of good history information along the way. It was fun to be and to go through the Locks and see how they work firsthand.

Fun tour, we ended up taking the Washington State Ferry the next day to see a bit more of the sound.

I've watched many a vessel pass through the Ballard Locks and always wanted to sail through myself. This was the perfect opportunity. Great views from the deck and took advantage of the beverage bar to warm up with some hot chocolate. We went on a cool, cloudy day and were grateful for sweatshirts, since it's breezy on Elliot Bay. The cool air didn't stop us from enjoying the ride on the open-air top deck, but views were still good from the warmth of the lower deck when we ventured down there for refreshments and bathroom visit.
