All the good stuff the other reviewers say about this place is true. What's more, the rooms are very quiet and relaxing. They encourage recycling. What a concept! They have coffee in the rooms which is rare these days. Free local telephone calls and parking. The staff is gracious and accommodating. The front desk staff and housekeepers couldn't do enough for the guests. It is was unreal.

Guests hung out in comfortable chairs in the lobby like they were in a second home.

I would not stay anywhere else if I am near Queen Anne. They have ruined me for other places.

Room Tip: Get there early - 3PM at time of check in.

The Maxwell Hotel is located near many of Seatte's attractions and some great restaurants. The hotel staff recommended amazing restaurants to us each day and we had a great stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seattle.

The Maxwell is conveniently located and stylish, but was not a good value for the price. We stayed the weekend of the Gay Pride Parade and Festival, which could explain why it was $459 per night, but at that price, we expected better accommodations and service. The "ensemble suite" was small. Basically, it was a rectangular room with two queen beds and a sofabed in a line along the same wall. There was enough space for a nightstand between beds. It was a smaller room than one at an Embassy Suites. There was only one bar of soap in the bathroom, which we didn't realize until stepping in the shower. The maid service was slow: Our room was still not cleaned at 5pm when we stopped by to wash up before going out to dinner. We returned to our room after dinner to find the beds made but bolster pillows still tossed on the wing chair and ottoman the way we had left it. You'd think that for $459/night, they could provide an extra bar of soap and do a 100% job of cleaning instead of an 80% job. We travel quite a bit with our children and have stayed in a whole range of accommodations in many different states and countries, from an adorable B&B in Derbyshire to the W Hotel in Hong Kong. We have a good sense for what a room should be when it gets to near the $500 and up range, and the Maxwell Hotel did not meet this expectation.

What a great room! Super clean and comfy! It's a bit far from Pike Place, but minutes away from the Space Needle. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again. Be sure to head over to Peso's on Queen Anne for a scrumptious breakfast! Just ask the front desk to point you in the right direction!

We were a group of five (two couples and a senior) and booked three rooms for two nights. The hardwood floors were initially worrying but we did not hear any noise from the room above us. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with two large beds, roomy bathroom and a cute little hallway. Beds are very comfy and we were not bothered by noise: either external or internal. It is a short walk to the monorail, space needle and science fiction museum. The monorail offers a quick ride into the city heart although you can walk it if you have more time. Breakfast was abit of a bother as the nearest place was not cooking breakfast on the morning of our first day however we walked a few short blocks in the other direction and had a choice of places including an all American diner that served a top cooked brekky. The rates were very reasonable and we booked directly with the hotel. The Maxwell ticks all the right boxes for a relaxed and upmarket stay.

This is a new hotel close to the heart of downtown Seattle and easily within walking distance distance for those in decent physical condition. Our room was wonderfully appointed and laid out with the traveler in mind (fridge, microwave, flatscreen TV).

We found the staff to be very pleasant and extremely willing to help in any way to optimize the pleasure of their guests. This was a terrific place to stay (June 23, 2011) and is highly recommended to those looking for convenience and good value - with great comfort!
