Everything about this hotel is exemplary! We had been staying in the Holiday Inn Express on Aurora previous to staying at this Hyatt, and what a difference!!! It costs a little more, but it"s worth it!!!

This is a very nice hotel. Expansive lobby and breakfast area. Our room was a king, it has a huge sofa along with a large foot-stool. Didn't measure the TV size but it's one of the latest LCD's, at least 46", maybe more! The TV has an input center with HDMI inputs etc, very cool.
Fridge and coffee maker, the coffee was no-name and not too good.
Shower only with a sliding glass door, nice sink and counter, smallish closet.
Gleaming clean throughout!
Only complaint was the curtains, they do not even begin to darken the room. Very bright at night, and extremely bright in the sun, I'd never stay here if I had to sleep in the daylight.
Very friendly and helpful staff. 1/4 mile to the Space Needle. $20 parking. Almost a perfect score, too bad about the curtains.

The Hyatt Place downtown was a pleasant surprise. Secure indoor parking is less than at other city hotels. In the hotel itself, everything sparkles. The rooms and lobby area are fresh and modern, very comfortable, and roomy. The breakfast buffet was way more than bagles and cold cream cheese. Handmade breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit and healthy toppings for hearty oatmeal fill you up for the day.

But what makes the Hyatt Place especially valuable is the FREE shuttle within a 1-mile radius of the hotel. This includes most of the area's major attractions, including the Space Needle. Aquarium, Pike Place Market and high-end shopping. The shuttle bus driver was hopping the day we rode, but she worked hard to coordinate all of her trips and get her guests to and from the hotel smoothly. We used that shuttle all morning and left our car in the garage.

With such glowing reviews of this hotel, I was actually hesitant to try, for fear of disappointment! However, due to a family funeral, this was the hotel reserved for everyone. What a gem. The lobby was welcoming, the rooms nice and yes, the breakfast is as what everyone is raving about. I could not believe the quality and selection of the breakfast. Three kinds of skillet breakfast sandwiches, waffles, and the usual complement of cereal, breads, pastries, etc. The fruits were fresh and sweet. No rubbery fake scrambled eggs here! Walgreen's is right across the street for bottled water, snacks, forgotten toiletry items, and yes, an extra suitcase for over zealous shopping. The shuttle is a nice benefit, since downtown parking is often so expensive and hard to find. The cons would be the $20 daily parking rate, and for my trip, it was a bit hard to navigate to the freeways due to the construction. But those would not be deal breakers. Will definitely stay here again should I travel to Seattle in the future. In fact, I will now search out other Hyatt Place in other locations I travel to.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place for 2 nights in March for a girls shopping weekend. I noticed how cheap it was (we paid $117.00 / night) so i looked it up on Trip Advisor & the reviews looked great. I liked that the parking was only 20.00 / night compared to the other hotels in Seattle i have stayed at where you spend 35.00 - 45.00 a night.

The front desk staff were excellent. Super friendly and answered all of our questions. He let us know about the free shuttle that would take us up to shopping, dinner etc. We used the shuttle multiple times. The driver even gives you a card with his number and comes back to get you when you call him. He was always quick to come back too, never more than 10 mins.

The website mentioned on weekends it was just a continental breakfast, but when we stayed they had hot food. Egg Mc Muffins, waffles, all kinds of stuff, all for free.

I used the gym and the pool while i was there. The gym was good, it had a decent amount of equipment in it. The pool was clean and had towels available. Both were empty when i used them which was nice.

This isn't a 5 star hotel. The rooms are not luxurious. However, they are clean, large, modern & well laid out.

I would recommend the Hyatt Place to anyone looking for a Seattle Hotel close to everything at a very reasonable price.
