“Great tour - rain or shine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2011

I took this walking tour on May 15, a day of constant rain. I was prepared, though, so I grabbed my umbrella and went to Westlake Center. Given the weather, there was only one other person on the tour. Two tourists, two tour guides. Sean was fairly new as a guide, but he did an excellent job explaining the significance of historical stops, and also recommending local restaurants and sights not on the route. Sean is from Seattle, and it shows. He really knows the place. Both guides were great, and with the small group, there was plenty of conversation. I highly recommend this tour. Rain or shine. Fifteen dollars is pretty cheap, too.

“a great historical tour of Seattle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2010

It took about an hour and a half and was really interesting and entertaining. They pretty much followed the flat areas (no climbing up some of the steep hills) so it wasn't a difficult walk. It started at 4th and Pine and finished at Pioneer Square.

“Great stories and great orientation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2010

We came to Seattle on a business trip and had a few extra hours on the first day and were lucky enough to find a brochure for this walking tour. We love walking tours of cities and this one is among the best. The route is an easy walk and in addition to learning some fascinating stories about the places, people and events involved in the boom and bust cycles of Seattle from the time of its founding to the present, you find out how to get around the city cheaply and efficiently using the public transportation. The founder/owner of this tour is also the tour guide and he knows his stuff, has a strong voice that is easy to hear in the sometimes loud city, and sets a good pace that allows people enough time to take in the sights without dragging
