this is a time share. we really liked it, and though i had never stayed where there was no air conditioning, it wasn't necessary. very vintage feeling, but well maintained.

Four of us stayed here for one night before taking a cruise to Alaska from the Seattle pier. From Sea-Tac, we took the $2.75 light rail into the Westlake stop and walked the four or so blocks to the Camlin. Check-in was a breeze, but getting directions to the room was hilarious. I've never met a concierge so, um, helpful? before. She was so enthusiastic that she must have mistook our weariness from 12 straight hours of travel for interest in her unsolicited directions... Truth be told, we were all pretty familiar with the city, being frequent visitors, and didn't need the help, but if you do, this conceirge will be glad to give it. When we were able to sneak away to our suite, we were pleasantly surprised to find a spacious living area, master bedroom, closet bed, and one full bath. And a kitchenette, too. The quarters were more than we needed for two couples only staying one night, but we were happy to have a night to spread out before entering the week we were to spend in a cruise ship cabin. From the Camlin, we were able to walk all around: to REI, to the public market, to plenty of restaurants nearby, convenience stores, and to wishful window shopping. We couldn't have asked for a better location for the price. The suite (and what we saw of the rest of the hotel) was very clean and styled in the stereotypical dark woods and dim wall lighting. The beds were medium firmness, the shower water was hot and had good pressure, and the kitchenette afforded us plenty of tools to make a meal. Our only real issue for this short stay was in obtaining a taxi large enough to get the 4 of us and our luggage to the pier, but it's not really the Camlin's fault that we couldn't get a taxivan. Overall, the Camlin provided a solid night's sleep which leaned towards the luxurious.

This historic hotel is absolutely beautiful. But more importantly, the staff is so very friendly and helpful. They always make me feel sooo special. It is kitty corner to the Paramont Theatre and 4 blocks from the 5th Avenue theatre, where both theatres present world class entertainment. Also, from the hotel you can walk as far as the waterfront (I chose the short taxi ride back, as it is a steep walk back). A delightful visit.

Lovely old 1920's hotel nicely restored. Easily the best service we've experienced at a Worldmark property.

The Camlin is a cozy, boutique like hotel/condo in downtown Seattle - walking distance to just about anything. The staff are friendly, the room is clean, and our room by the elevator is surprisingly quiet. We're in a studio room, and with all if the great restaurants in town, don't really need a kitchen. The kitchenette is just fine.

The only thing I don't understand is why did they install a Murphy bed? The room is totally big enough for a regular queen...

I love that our room is in the back, in the part of the hotel that extends out towards the sea, as we have 180' of Windows and so much light!!!
