Great for walkers. Close to Space Needle. Chihuly Museum is AWESOME! Pikes Place Market and Westlake stores are close as well. Whole Foods is right down the street and has great food. You feel safe to walk even at night. Awesome location. Good transportation choices if you choose not to walk. Wonderful location.

TRIPADVISOR 2014

La Quinta Suites - Seattle

Last February, my husband and I visited my son and his family in Seattle. It was our first time to meet our first grandson. We opted to stay in a nearby hotel.

There are few choices of inns and hotels in their neighborhood. Hence,we really need to choose the most accessible from our son's place and the bestthat will cater to our specific requirements,-free WIFI, self laundry and gym.

Through our favorite on line travel agent, we finally booked in La Quinta for 16 days.
The place actually was near the main highway, which was under construction at that time. We requested for a room away from the possible noises created by the on going construction. The receptionist obliged and gave us a corner room which was unfortunately near the school ground. Anyway, the hotel itself is clean and nice. The receptionists were really accommodating and friendly. No fuss in checking in and out. The lobby was rather homey coz of the fireplace and the comfortable seats.
Likewise, the wonderful staff preparing our breakfast which I unfortunately forgot to memorize her name was amazing. She was always smiling and friendly. She had short curly hair, be-spectacled and wearing the staff uniform. I missed her when we left coz I heard she went for a vacation with her family. Another wonderful staff was Elenita, but I call her Lenny. She is the head of Housekeeping. I remember when I complained about her rude staff cleaning our room. She immediately addressed the concern and did a good job about it. The hotel is commendable for travelersyg staying for longer period.
We are going back to Seattle to visit our son and his family again and I'm quite sure we will return to La Quinta

Room Tip: Ask for room on the upper floor to avoid the noise from the road and school activities

I've stayed at +10 properties in downtown Seattle. This is one of the best! Great service: fast check-in & out, clean, recently rejuvenated, quiet, free parking, OK simple breakfast, good beds, wonderful bathrooms. You can pay twice their rate in Seattle..but why? Many folks may be put off by the brand LaQuinta for an urban stay, but you should not worry about that in Seattle.

Room Tip: We had top floor (7). It was quiet and elevators were not a problem.

This hotel is in a decent location with decent amenities. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's a 15 minute brisk walk through shopping areas to the waterfront area, and about the same to the Space Needle area. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant and breakfast is delicious. Most of the room views are of other buildings, but I wasn't in the area to stay in the room...

Walking up to this hotel my expectations were pretty low but once inside I was blown away! It is a beautiful hotel on the inside! There are two lounge areas, both with fireplaces. There is a very nice business center, free coffee and tea, free lemon water and cookies, free newspaper. The front desk staff is really friendly and always smiling. The breakfast was great with hot and cold options. I enjoyed the top your own oatmeal and my husband enjoyed the breakfast burritos. They also have a small "market" in the lobby to buy snacks and drinks. We didn't use it but it was a nice feature. There is a Whole Foods within walking distance if you need a few groceries or a take out meal. DO NOT (notnotnot) go to the Hurricane Cafe recommended by the front desk staff. Just don't do it. It is awful.

Everything in the hotel is crisp and clean. My son's favorite feature was the tropical fish tank in the lobby. He grew very attached to their puffer fish.

Gym is a bit minimal but we didn't care about that. No pool but we were too busy sightseeing to miss swimming. This hotel is very close to the Space Needle and the Pacific Science Center.

The elevator doors are slim so beware if you have extra large suitcases. Each room has a fridge and microwave which we liked to store our goodies from Whole Foods and the Pike Place Market. Beds are extra soft and cushy. Shower pressure was weak but we were on the 7th floor so that may have been part of it. Other than the shower pressure the bathroom was great! Extra large vanity/sink so plenty of space for toiletries and cosmetics. We did not bother brewing coffee in our room since there is free coffee in the lobby at all times. I love that they stock flavored creamer! That was a nice treat.

We had an amazing stay here and will make La Quinta one of our go-to hotel chains from now on!

Room Tip: A higher floor doesn't mean a great view. We were on the seventh floor but had a view of an off...

This hotel and staff were worked hard to make our stay in Seattle the best it could be. They were very helpful when it came to finding our way around the town. The location was close to the things we went to Seattle to see. We really had a lot of fun in Seattle. Thanks La Quinta.

Don't judge this hotel by its shabby exterior. To my delight the room was a two room suite with separate living room and bedroom. It was very spacious with an ultra modern, marble bathroom. Friends of ours stayed at a historical hotel a couple of blocks away and paid $100 a night more than us for a room a quarter of the size and less impressive bathroom.
