The Good:
Room was very clean. Free coffee, tea and water in room. Newer decor, newer looking furniture. All staff encountered were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was adequate. Pancake machine, sausage patties (turkey & pork) scrambled eggs, assorted cereals, several flavored instant oatmeal a with raisins and walnuts in the side, yogurts, milk, juice, breads, bagels and muffins.

Needs improvement: The WIFI......ugh! When it worked it was soooo slow! In the hotel room and in the fitness it was hard to stay connected for more than a few minutes. Router was reset several times and provider was called but we never saw an improvement. We were told are room location was one o the best for Internet.......sad. Worked a little better in the lobby; stayed connected but still slow. (iPhone 6s, iPad and tablet)
The pool is really tiny. Three stroke lap pool! Spa.....well, was afraid to go in! So full of foam!

Well the way the Hotel is set up is kind of weird, parking is limited unless their isn't that many guest, but other than that My check in was good and Happy with the service and the Holiday Inn breakfast here was ok but those cinnamon rolls always make up for everything else, The room was clean the view was of the building behind us. but it was worth what I paid for it.

Having been to Seattle 4 years ago, we were shocked at the how much the price of a hotel room had skyrocketed if choosing to stay in the heart of it all. After doing much research, we stayed at this HIE because of reviews, location and price. GREAT decision! While it may not be a high-end hotel, it is definitely a good choice if you are looking for a clean, friendly place to sleep that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is within a reasonable traveling distance.

ARRIVAL & CHECK-OUT: The young man who greeted us upon our late arrival (I believe Isaiah was his name) was VERY warm and friendly, providing us with all the necessary information we needed.

ROOMS: The double queen room was very typical of a HIE room, though, generally we find HIE rooms to have thin walls which equals noisy rooms. Not this HIE. The rooms were very quiet and we barely heard a peep out of the completely booked hotel.

The room was very clean and included a flat screened t.v., microwave, refrig (that was surprisingly quiet), fluffly towels, ironing boards, etc. I like the fact that the thin comforters are cleaned for each new guest. Wi-fi was better than most hotels in which we stay.

Breakfast: Typical HIE fair... bacon, sausage patties, eggs (scrambled one day), warm biscuits and sausage gravy, cinnamon buns, pancakes, boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereals and bagel and toast, yogurt and muffins.

Amenities: My husband said the pool was fine. He was the only one to use it one evening.

This hotel may not be in the "best" area of Seattle, but we had no problems. We were traveling for 3 weeks and took a chance by leaving a lot of our stuff in the car for 4 nights and no one broke in.

The next time we return to Seattle, we will stay here. The hotel is very convenient, very clean and close to restaurants and shopping if you need to make a late evening run for snacks or something you forgot like toothpaste, etc.

Very friendly desk staff. Asked for an upper floor room away from elevator when I made on line reservation and they gave us a nice room at the far end away from Hiway 99, which has a lot of traffic. Room was very clean and roomy, and the choice of "soft" or "firm" pillows in room was nice. Bed was okay.

Room tip: Ask for room on the "quiet side" of the hotel.

My family stayed here for a local funeral. The photo of the hotel is not nearly as nice as the hotel. The rooms are great.Quiet, clean and large. The staff was absolutely outstanding for us, especially Isaac. They made every effort to provide for our needs and were exceedingly kind to my family. The hotel is easy to find, not far from I-5 north of Seattle.
Breakfast is standard Holiday Inn Express
Work-out room has 2 elipticals, a treadmill and a bike along with free weights. It was clean and not busy
Free wifi worked everywhere in the hotel with no difficulty
