“Treat yourself!”

Great downtown location, a clearly well-trained staff (at all levels) quite responsive and friendly, and decor manages to be quite modern but plush/warm/cozy too. Similar to other better hotels in area, offers loan of umbrellas, terry robes, etc. Turn-down-for-bed service appreciated. Note: proportion of sq. ft. in a 2 DoubleBR largely allotted to lavish bathroom as compared to living/sleeping space. (Not a problem if there are only 2 of you... we had a couple more!) Had north-facing room on 24th floor, so view of Space Needle and other high-rises with limited view of bay.
Walkable to Pike Place Market, more of a schlepp to Pioneer Square or ferry piers. Minor peeves: no free wi/fi; no coffee/tea apparatus; and mini-bar/fridge automatically charges if door simply opened for a little! These are odd cheeseparing touches to such a high-end-feeling hotel... but it has successfully won our business over from the nearby Westin, our previous stay, or even from the waterfront hotel simply because we were so comfortable. Starbucks in lobby not open late.

Room Tip: Request high-enough room to avoid street noise; pleasant surprise" never had a wait for the ele...

Great location. Lots of great shopping and restaurants nearby. Easy wandering distance to Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square and Belltown. Sara at the front desk found us a room with a view. All the staff were very nice, including the housekeeping staff. The bathroom was splendiferous with a soaker tub and a lovely stand up shower with great water pressure. As someone with sleep problems I appreciated the blackout curtain. The bed was very comfortable. It was great having a Starbucks downstairs.
Complaints we have are that you can't even open the bar fridge without incurring a debt. I guess this is to stop you from keeping beverages cold that you buy yourself. It just seemed petty. The hotel does offer to bring up a separate fridge, but for a charge. Also, although the room was nicely appointed, the carpet looked grubby and in need of replacing. We didn't use the valet parking. We found out there's a cheaper option. We parked in the public parkade around the corner, but in the same building with hotel access.
Other than that it was a great experience and we would stay there again.

What is not to love?

1. The location is great . Right smack in the middle of downtown Seattle, so it's a short distance to shopping, restaurants, Pioneer Square, Belltown, and Pike Place.

2. The rooms are amazing. We requested a room on a lower floor, so we did not get any views, but I did not care. Everything about the room was top-notch from the furniture, to the electronics, to the most comfortable bed. Everything was in good working order and was clean. The blackout blinds were electronically-controlled, so this provided a source of amusement for simple-minded people like us.

3. The bathroom is huge. You-can-throw-a-party-in-it huge. It has a separate shower stall and a huge soaker tub. The shower stall is so big, one can fit 4 people in it very comfortably. (I don't know why one would, but one certainly could). Oh, and the water pressure is great, and the toiletries are top notch.

4. The staff members were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. It is worthy to note that our status as cheapskate Priceline customers did not seem to matter to them because we felt we were treated just as well as all the other guests.

My only gripe is that the wifi is not free, but there is a Starbucks and an NYC deli on the ground floor, both offering free wifi, so not a big deal. Also, parking is a bit much at $30 for self park at the Pike and 7th Garage, but it is easily accessible from the hotel.

A 4*-rated hotel that is truly a 4*. No real complaints here, so definitely a 5* rating from me.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for two nights and couldn't have been more impressed. The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was beautiful. Our very large room had a view of Puget Sound and was stylish and comfortable. The bathroom was exquisite. There is a separate shower and bathtub. The oversized bathtub has a cascading spout - don't know quite how to describe it, but it fills up in a matter of minutes. I was absolutely luxurious. I want to go back to Seattle again just so we can stay at this hotel :)

Location is great too - right in the middle of great shopping and an easy walk to Pike's Place Market.

At the Grand Hyatt Seattle if you aren't part of the elite, they'll help you feel unwelcome. This was a beautiful hotel, but as soon as I checked in they treated me like low class. They remind you many times that they charge for everything; snacks in your room, drinks, Internet and parking. I was afraid to touch anything for fear of seeing a charge on my bill. There are ice machines on 3 floors only and you have to go quite a ways to get to one. The bathroom was gorgeous, with marble counters and stone floors, glass shower doors and lots of space. The bed was roomy and soft with lots of pillows. I wish they would put a small fridge in the room to keep your own drinks in. No free breakfast here, so you'll need to walk a block or two. The room was quiet but I was surprised how well I could hear the outside traffic even though I was 12 stories up. The doors are very noisy when they slam shut, and I don't understand why they can't do something about that. Every time someone would come and go...SLAM, SLAM. The gym was great, very well maintained and lots of equipment to choose from. There are a lot of stores and restaurants nearby. Traffic is horrible and it was hard to find somewhere to park. They charge $30 per day to park at the hotel or you can pay $20 outside across the street. Overall, it was nice but I don't think I'll stay here again.

Location wise it is in the heart of the dining and shopping district of downtown Seattle. The hotel itself is average. Reception was cool and perfunctory. The rooms are on the small side but clean and understated and quiet. We had a wheelchair accessible bathroom and neither of us is disabled. You have to pay for WiFi: expensive and a rip-off. Nice that they have a Starbucks on the premises so you don't have to leave the building to get your fix. I guess some rooms have great views; we looked out over the roof and vents of the Ruths Chris restaurant (yes, whiffs of steak every now and then!) and an adjacent condo high rise (close enough that you could wave to the people living there!). Have stayed at better hotels in the area so I won't stay here again unless I'm desperate.

Room Tip: Opt for a room that does not face East.

Nice hotel, room was high-quality suite-type room. seperate living room, bath, and bedroom. bathroom was luxurious and I do not use that word lightly...it was awesome. we had corner room that had windows facing city and right down to the pike market sign and elliot bay beyond. sat there a couple times and just watched the sound ferries going out and back. staff very helpful with room request, so try for whatever room you want. I'd stay there again next time I'm in seattle.

Room Tip: corner room or facing elliot bay.
