“Total Relaxation Always!!”
Reviewed 19 July 2011

This is the hotel to stay even if you want to just get away for a weekend!! Great views, service, and accomodations. I love the corner rooms! The beds are so comfy and if you get a chance add the Grand Club Access!!! My next treat to myself is to get a suite! Stay tune! I've stayed here over 8 times!!! Thank You Grand Hyatt Seattle!!

Room Tip: Online reservation then you can add the upgrades!!

My husband was in Seattle for a meeting, I got to go for fun and shopping. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Walking distance to major shopping and Pike Place Market. Also close to the monorail to Seattle Center. The bathrooms are huge - with a separate soaking tub and glass shower. The rooms are a nice size and have blackout screens. Check-in was fast and the people are very friendly and helpful. We will be back on our next trip to Seattle.

grand hyatt is grand, good location, spotless, and has friendly efficient staff. We must say thank you to rowda at check in desk she sent up a bottle of wine & chocolates to us as it was a combined 50th birthday & 31st wedding anniversary. We were very suprised and grateful. The luggage porter Mike was also very friendly he gave us plenty of information and tips on the best tours eateries ect. Conceirge was efficient and friendly helped with our requests. We had a nice room on the 21st floor with a view of the lake and city we had no trouble sleeping in Seattle if we ever come here again we would definately stay at this hotel. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay memorable.

We were disappointed with our stay at this Hyatt. It is in a nice location in downtown Seattle. I also have to say that I was impressed with the room. We did have a nice corner room with a view of the Space Needle. However, the furnishings in the room are outdated and need to be replaced.

My other complaint is that the hotel is in need of a bar. Maybe in the lobby? There is a Ruth's Chris with a passable bar that offers happy hour food and drinks. However, I would have expected a roof top bar or at least an upscale lobby bar for a hotel of this "quality".

Finally, what really did it for me was housekeeping ringing the bell just before 9:00 a.m. I cannot imagine what they wanted but they did go away when they discovered the deadbolt. Keep in mind that we were only there for one night and had not checked out. Unfortunately, after waking us up, she came back about twenty minutes later to see how long we would be. Friendly, but still....

I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location,,, but be advised they charge for everything. If you so much as lift something out of the fridge you own it. Same with the candy counter in the room. There are alot of hidden fees in this hotel. Do not max yourself out on the room price, and be prepared for all the extras in the final bill. Parking (self) is $30 per night and Valet is $45 per night. Neither is included in the price of the room. Aside from that it is everything you expect a Hyatt to be. Great location, super friendly staff, amazing rooms.

When we booked the Hyatt we were told that we had a corner unit with a view of Lake Union so we could watch the firework display. The room was 499.00 per night. We also told them it would be 2 adults and 2 children. We only live 30 miles away from this Hyatt we were going just to see the fireworks for the kids.
When we arrived our room wasnt a corner unit, it had 1 small room with a view of building and 1 bed.
We were very upset. The front desk tried to put us in a room that would have a view of the fireworks. They said that the fireworks go up high so we should be able to see them.
They brought in roll away beds for the kids.
When the fireworks started we couldnt see anything!!!! Both Kids Were Crying. I cant believe we paid that much money for nothing. we should have just drove to the fireworks.
They did take 250.00 off the bill but still not worth the 266.00 when the kids were on roll away beds.

Great downtown location, a clearly well-trained staff (at all levels) quite responsive and friendly, and decor manages to be quite modern but plush/warm/cozy too. Similar to other better hotels in area, offers loan of umbrellas, terry robes, etc. Turn-down-for-bed service appreciated. Note: proportion of sq. ft. in a 2 DoubleBR largely allotted to lavish bathroom as compared to living/sleeping space. (Not a problem if there are only 2 of you... we had a couple more!) Had north-facing room on 24th floor, so view of Space Needle and other high-rises with limited view of bay.
Walkable to Pike Place Market, more of a schlepp to Pioneer Square or ferry piers. Minor peeves: no free wi/fi; no coffee/tea apparatus; and mini-bar/fridge automatically charges if door simply opened for a little! These are odd cheeseparing touches to such a high-end-feeling hotel... but it has successfully won our business over from the nearby Westin, our previous stay, or even from the waterfront hotel simply because we were so comfortable. Starbucks in lobby not open late.

Room Tip: Request high-enough room to avoid street noise; pleasant surprise" never had a wait for the ele...
