“Nice Hotel in Prime Location”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

Great downtown location within a few blocks of restuarants, shopping and tourist venues. Hotel staff is excellent and rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. After multiple stays, never any issues with the rooms or the staff. Short walk to multiple high end or casual dining establishments.

Check in was quickly handled at the front desk where there were more than sufficient staff to handle the customers checking in. With my Hyatt Platinum status, I was upgraded to a Presidential Suite, a multi-room area with small kitchenette, living room, an extended bedroom, and 1.5 baths. The room was extravagantly appointed, extremely comfortable and quiet, and it was only a shame that I was traveling alone.

We had a conference based at the hotel. The conference was held in a training room that would be at home on a recently upgraded academic campus - extremely comfortable with an excellent stage and sound system. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with mid-session snacks; the food was uniformly excellent, healthful, and wide-ranging. The sweet corn bisque with dungeness crab was particularly good.

The hotel design - artwork, elevators, lighting, and so forth was again very nicely done. It is unusual that I don't have something I can complain about in one of these reviews, but the Hyatt provided a truly pleasant stay for what was to be no more than a routine business meeting.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his work. We spent three nights in the Grand Hyatt and it was a great stay. While he went to work, which was conveniently located around the corner, I wandered about. For both purposes, work and leisure, it was a great location.

The rooms are very big (especially coming from Manhattan where they are tiny) and clean. The large windows let in good natural sunlight when it was able to push through the morning fog.

The only things to look out for are the isn't a pool (for some reason, I thought I found one when I did a search) and you have to pay for the internet by a daily rate.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 5 days in September. The hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the famous Pike's Market. A monorail is also close by if you'd like to get to the Space Needle, and other tourist attractions that are just a bit further.

Upon our arrival to the hotel, we were greeted by welcoming and friendly staff who made our check in an easy process. The room is nice, and the bathroom is nicer. It had a big marble shower, and large tub.

The fitness room and spa were also a nice feature that we utilized a few times.

The only reason I did not give this hotel a perfect score is because parking is expensive (30 dollars a day for self parking, 41 for valet) and there is no coffee in the room because they want you to go to the Starbucks which is conveniently located in the lobby. Otherwise, this is a nice hotel and worth the stay

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for Pax and it was a great stay. The rooms were really new and nicely kept, and the bed was huge! The bathrooms were also really nice. The people who worked there were helpful and even ran out of the hotel to flag down a cab when there weren't any waiting. The location is perfect as it is right in downtown and close to everything we needed. The only reason I gave this hotel 4 out of 5 was because they did not have free wi-fi which was a HUGE deal for us as we were traveling from out of country. Other than that, I would stay here again.

Upon entering the hotel, you feel like you are at a luxury hotel. The check in process was short and sweet, just how I like it! The room was wonderful and spacious! Huge bathroom with tub and shower as well as a very large counter space for 2 people to share. Bed was comfortable and our view was beautiful too!

With one click of a button you can make the room completely dark and sleep super well! I love that! It was so nifty and convenient.

The location of this hotel was phenomenal! So close to shopping and eating! So close to Pike Place too. It was a fantastic location and it felt so good to come back to the hotel room and take a nap when we were exhausted from all the walking.

I would totally come back and stay at this hotel. My only wish would be free wifi for all their guests. That would be a lovely upgrade!

It may be a little expensive, but it was definitely worth every penny. This hotel is in a central location, and the room was comfortable, modern, and it had a great view. Spending time in Seattle was just as exciting as returning to the room to relax and fall asleep.
