I love this hotel! We (my husband and 3 small kids) have stayed here a few times and just love it. We get the AAA rate on a 1 bdrm which has a sofa bed and room for a pack n play. The rooms are very spacious with a kitchenette, living room, small kitchen table, a desk, patio, and a master bedroom with 1 full bath. Can't beat the location either, looking over Lake Union right next to bus stops and the Streetcar stop.
There's a landry room, pool (with a perfect 3ft seperate kiddie pool), small market and free breakfast in the morning.
Mon-Wed they also free dinner, like soup and salad it BBQ night with free alcohol. The hotel will even do grocery shopping for you at no extra charge!
The only thing that needed improving was the mattress ad there was a hump in the middle. I kept meaning to ask the hotel to flip the mattress but kept forgetting.
I will stay here again!!
P.S. If you ask for a room on the north wing with the lake view you can also see the Space Needle!

We had thoroughly checked reviews before booking here and we were not disappointed. Being a smaller hotel and having such great ratings is really an accomplishment for this hotel!

It was our first visit to Seattle and first time at a Residence Inn. We loved our stay!! We stayed for 3 nights, and then went to Vancouver for a few days and came back for another 6 nights. They kept our luggage for us while we were gone for 5 days which allowed us to pack light to Vancouver rather than lugging all the cases with us (other hotels we had called refused to keep luggage in storage for longer than 1 day).

The location couldn’t have been more perfect! Streetcar line starts & ends across the road and you can catch one every 15 mins. Buses go by frequently too. Easy to get to downtown yet being abit out of the way from the noise & bustle. We got 2 different room-types and both had lovely terraces with lake views to enjoy the weather, a cup of coffee and watch the float planes take off & land on the lake.

It was also convenient for us to take the Argosy Locks tour which leaves from Lake Union – a 7 minute walk to the dock from the hotel. The Center / Museum for Wooden boats is a 3-minute walk away which is worth the visit and around the corner are the old fire boats, tugs, Historic Steamship Virginia V and also the dock where you take the Ice cream boat (popular for families with kids) and the Queen of Seattle paddle boat. Lots to do & see in this area!

Hot morning breakfast was enjoyable as well as the little market stand to grab a beer, snacks or soup at anytime day or night. Although the hotel has no restaurant to serve lunch or dinner, you do not miss this. There are loads of restaurants right across the road including great seafood at Duke’s Chowderhouse. The popular ‘I Love Sushi’ restaurant is also on the marina – just a 2-minute walk. There’s an Outback steakhouse just 1 set of traffic lights walk away as well.

The best feature of this hotel for us was the laundry on the 3rd floor. Having packed light for our 2 weeks vacation between Seattle & Vancouver, it was wonderful to be able to wash our clothes and have a continuous supply of freshly laundered clothing for the entire time (while saving the extra space in our luggage for shopping/souvenirs). They have 4 washing machines, 6 dryers (coin-operated) and Soap, bleach & dryer sheets available for 50 cents with wash or dry loads costing just $1. Gym & indoor pool on the same level.

Our rooms were cosy & comfy – felt like being at home, including full kitchens with proper full-size fridge & stove so we were able to stock up on supplies and you could cook if you wanted to as all crockery is provided.

The staff made our trip just great! Megan, Rose, Taviya and others were always helpful and a delight to deal with - always a return welcome and a smile!

If we were to go back to Seattle again, Residence Inn would definitely be our hotel of choice. I think few others could compare!

We had a great experience at the Residence Inn at Lake Union while taking my son to see a graduate school opportunity.

The front desk service was excellent, we decided to rely on public transportation this trip and they were very helpful.

Transportation- a streetcar that goes to the heart of downtown (and within 4 blocks from Pike Place Market) is right across the street. Also, bus route 70 has a stop right across the street. Another benefit we found was that the hotel had "town car" service during the day and early evening, at pre-defined flat rates. For example, the cost to Safeco Field was $15, to the airport was $35.

Breakfast - the breakfast each morning had a wide variety and everything was very fresh.

Service - Megan and others were top notch and really cared about their guests.

We will return again if in Seattle.

Stayed here for 6 nights with my 10 year old grandson in May/June. We were visiting my son who is over in Boeing for a few months. We had the Two bedroom/ two bathroom suite. It was fabulous. 2 large bedrooms, massive amounts of storage. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and its own TV. I agree with another review about the beds though. I felt like I would roll off if I was near the side. Spotless rooms, especially bathrooms. Great suite with huge terrace and lovely terrace furniture with a view of Space Needle and Lake Union. Pity the weather was not great, did not get to use terrace at all. Great breakfast, eggs, potato cubes, sausages or burgers, scones, muffins, fruit, yogurts, granola, bagels, toast, pancakes, and a waffle maker to make your own waffles. Grandson had great fun with this. Breakfast finishes very early Monday to Friday 9am and 10am on weekends. We missed breakfast one morning and there is nowhere very local for breakfast. There are a couple of restaurants across from hotel but none for breakfast. Had to get streetcar into city centre. Pool and Jacuzzi were good. Pity there is no restaurant. They could certainly fit one in. Lobby area/Foyer is huge. Free coffee in lobby was great. My grandson loved the basket of free cookies on reception desk in the evening. Free WiFi was great. No problem connecting and could connect any amount of laptops at same time. Not very fast but enough for browsing. Parking is 19usd but only if you stay overnight. My son was visiting during the day so he was not charged. Great for people visiting family. 8 minute walk to Kenmore Air for seaplane trip which was great. We moved to Hyatt at Olive 8 for 3 nights which we did not like as much as Residence Inn Lake Union, we were sorry we moved, but wanted to do some serious shopping before we went home.

Was here for four nights in May with my sisters. We had a two-bedroom/two-bath suite. Even though we didn't pay more for a full view of the lake, we were on the top floor and could still see the lake from where we were at. Our housekeeper did a great job. Very clean. The complimentary breakfasts are AMAZING. It included hot food as well as a waffle-making station and the usual bagels/danish/donuts/etc. Used the pool and hot tub, which were fine. The hot tub wasn't very hot the first night we were there, but it did seem to get better the next couple nights. The queen beds were nice and soft. I wasn't in the king bed, but heard it was a little harder. Each bedroom plus the living room had a TV.

As for location, there's a streetcar stop right across the street that takes you into downtown Seattle. We didn't rent a car, and used the streetcar every day. Pikes Place Market and the Wastington State Ferries are within walking distance from the final streetcar stop. (If you don't mind walking. It was a great way to see downtown Seattle.) The streetcar also has a stop right outside of a Whole Foods.

We walked from the hotel to the Space Needle. Probably about a mile, and not a pretty view during the walk, but not too bad. There was a bus stop about a half-mile away that took us to the Fremont neighborhood. The staff was very helpful when we asked for directions on how to get somewhere. The room itself was a lot nicer and bigger than I expected, and I was very impressed. I would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay at this hotel. I made an error in my reservation this time and accidentally booked at a different hotel. When we arrived at the Residence Inn without the proper reservation, they were pretty booked up but worked hard to not only get us in but to give us the best possible rate.

We chose this hotel the first time because we like the Residence Inn Suites and because of its great location. We booked again because it is an extremely comfortable and beautiful place with a large atrium and indoor pool. When Seattle weather is unpleasant it provides a place for our young daughter to walk/run around without disturbing others. The pool even has a 2nd smaller pool with a 3 foot depth that is perfect for little ones.

And, of course, the suites themselves are comfortable and well-equipped with a nice king-size bed and a kitchen. Their in-house Market makes it convenient to grab a bite - as we did after arriving late the first night. In addition, there are some excellent restaurants right across the street (Duke's Chowder House - yum!). We had a view of the Space Needle and Lake Union this time and got to watch the sailboats on the water. Very nice!

This is a very attractive hotel with a full open atrium lobby complete with tables and chairs for sitting, large waterfall and great ambiance. The 2 bedroom suite was all we expected and more. The king beds were comfortable. Each bedroom had it's own flat screen TV, full bath, and walk-in closet. We were right on Fairview Ave and had virtually no street noise. The pull-out was as comfortable as a pull-out gets. The TV stand in the sitting area was actually a storage unit for clothes, so we each had our own chest of drawers. The morning breakfast rivaled a restaurant for selection, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns, cereals, waffles, fresh fruit, and on and on. Anytime we called the front desk for something, the phone wasn't cold before someone was at the door with our request. The only downside to this hotel was that there was an additional $19 charge for on-site security parking, but I soon found out during our stay that parking in Seattle anywhere is more precious and about as expensive as gold. The location just off I-5, close to Seattle Centre and downtown, overlooking Lake Union is very good. Restaurants are within walking distance. Great wireless and wired internet.
