“Great way to get exposure to Washington state wines”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

The folks at Seattle Wine Tours do a really good job. They will pick you up at your downtown hotel and wisk you away to the tasting rooms in the Woodinville area. Tours are customized to match your wine interests and level of knowledge. They know the people at every single winery and can sometimes get you into places that are very difficult to see. If you just want a general tour of the area, they can arrange for that, as well. Our guide, Mary, was extremely professional and seemed to know everyone at the various tasting rooms. The tour was a great way to spend four or five hours if you have any interest at all in wine.

The Woodinville area is only about a half hour northeast from downtown Seattle. There are now somewhere on the order of eighty tasting rooms in the area. Almost none of the grapes are grown in the Seattle area -- the vast majority are grown in the high desert area across the Cascade range in the eastern half of Washington. The tasting rooms have been set up in the Woodinville area because of its proximity to Seattle. Also, most of the top quality Washington state wines are reds.

“Washington Wine Country Tour July 2014”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Six of us reserved a 10 passenger limo for a tour of Washington wine country. Big John was our driver and guide. He met us at our hotel right on time as promised. Big John is a really nice guy and very knowledge about the vineyards outside of Seattle. We started at Chateau St. Michelle and also went to Kestrel and one other winery. Big John ran out and picked up a fantastic picnic lunch, which we ate at the 3rd winery. We then went to Snoqualmie Falls which was very impressive. Our adventure took ~ 6 hours and was one of the highlights of our visit to the NW.

Thanks Joe and Big John,

Dave R.

“Great job Seattle Wine Tours”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

A group of friends and I took this wine tour on the 22nd of July, 2014. Our driver/guide's name was Dale. He did a fantastic job as he was a very good driver and guide, he gave us a lot of information about the areas that we were driving through on the way to the different wineries. He really had a lot of knowledge about the area and the different wineries. The limo that we rode in was nice and VERY clean which is a big deal to me. They/he showed up about 10 minutes before our scheduled depart time, so very prompt. Our tour ran over the original 4 hours we had originally planned and they were very accommodating to that as well. It is safe to say that all of us had a GREAT time!

“Washington Wine Bliss”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

Last Sunday we went with our guide, Mary, on a wine tour through Woodinville. Mary was not only very knowledgable about the area and the wines but she was very personable as well. She listened and paid close attention to what our likes were and adjusted our tasting room itinerary to us. We enjoyed every stop but Obelisco, Col Solare and Mark Ryan were our favorites. We took a 6 hour tour and I would recommend nothing less than this since there as so many places to stop as well as a Warehouse District! We were so happy we had her guidance as we would have felt clueless as to where to start. Also, worth mentioning is the help we received from both Mary and Joe in making sure we had a place to package and ship our case of wine back home. It should arrive tomorrow! We feel like kids waiting for Christmas morning! :)

“Great day touring Wineries we picked”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We contacted the tour company and they picked us up at our hotel. We picked out the wineries we wanted to see previous to the tour however we only saw 3 plus a stop for lunch as we so enjoyed the 3 we saw. The guide was very informative to the area and the stops so that was great help. The group was 2 friends then a family couple to one of us. It was a great day to tool around- enjoy wine and not have to worry about a designated driver.
