Watertown Hotel - A Staypineapple Hotel
Ranked #28 of 104 Hotels in Seattle

This hotel is average with some interesting amenities. Most importantly, it is 5 miles from the city center, therefore the location relative to most of the other top 20 hotels is sub par. Seems the reviews on this site fail to really get that across. I was fooled by the hype and positive comments and not having travelled to Seattle, I was unaware of how far this hotel was from the others in the City. Definately not a top ten hotel in Seattle.

My husband and I stayed here on our way through Seattle last year. This is now one of his favorite hotels. I had lived in Seattle, so I knew the location, while away from downtown, was still near some great neighborhoods. Rooms were very clean and modern, staff was helpful, Starbucks and Tea all day in the lobby. We used the free loaner bikes, which were a great way to get around.
This was a great place to stay in Seattle, w/ lots of perks, at a very affordable price.

We just stayed at Watertown last week. If you don't mind being away from downtown, it's a fun place to be. We loved our suite--it was large and open, with built-in furnishings. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful--we were out of toothpaste, and the person at the desk went to the sister hotel to get us a tube. The "cartes" are a lot of fun--ours had all kinds of goodies to help us relax, which was precisely what we were there for. Everything is inexpensive--free breakfast and wine tasting during the week, tasty snacks with the wine which for us served as a light dinner. If you have a choice, and you are going to spend time in the room, I would recommend a suite. The regular rooms are fine, but the spacious feel of the suite is much nicer.

My mom and dad, sister, husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. There were several parts of our visit that made it memorable.

1) comfortable beds with nice sheets
2) accomodating, helpful staff
3) free wine tastings and delicious cookies
4) loaner bikes and bike maps
5) great location in the U-District
6) snack bar features healthy food too
7) building is in great shape at only 3 years of age, yet is very inviting
8) a la carte program makes the hotel unique

We will definitely stay here the next time we are in town.

Easy to see why this little gem is listed as one of Seattle's top five. I've stayed in Hilton's in Melbourne Australia, Thistle Hotels in London and none compared to the simple pleasures and friendliness experienced at the Watertown! Be sure to take advantage of their Ala carte service. First time I've ever had a business center come to me. And if you've come to sleep - these are the absolute best beds I've encountered in a hotel - bar none.

We have stopped counting the number of trips we have had to make to Seattle this last year. This is our very favorite place to stay because of the outstanding facilities and excellent location. We appreciate the healthful breakfast buffet and having a variety of morning newspapers readily available. We had fun on the bikes this summer when we rode through the university close by. During our latest stay, we requested and received a wheelchair accessible room which met our needs. We find the staff very accommodating and friendly. Having the city map with our room key is just one of the thoughtful things that is part of this hotel's way of saying they care about their guests. Of course the variety of carts that are available is a first for any hotel we have ever stayed. There are too many good things about this hotel to mention.

This is a great hotel with lots of nice touches. We stayed in June and had a fabulous time making full use of the free bicycles to travel around Seattle - the pool and the gym are very good too. I loved the little touches, like the free trolley, delivered to the room, with the foot spa, back massager and chill-out music. The wine tasting was another lovely touch. In fact, there are so many free 'extras' that it is hard to fit them all in. The rooms are very modern, without being stark and the location is great. The free taxi to the downtown area was also a boon and the staff were incredibly friendly with great service all round. The hotel was very reasonably priced and I would recommend it most highly. The hotel manages to anticipate what its guests might enjoy and succeeds in ensuring that they feel welcome and pampered. We came back to the UK fitter and more relaxed - which can't be bad. I only wish hotels in the UK could meet these kind of standards.
