This older but renovated hotel in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, is conveniently situated close to several attractions and sights to see in Seattle. The roof top viewing deck is a great place to watch the sunset or view the skyline at night. The rooms are clean, comfortable affordable, and quiet for being in the city. Several restaurants close by, a grocery store if you prefer to stay in your room for meals, a movie theater, and Seattle Center and Space Needle, all are within walking distance of the hotel. Staff very friendly and willing to assist.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 4th to 6th floor on the South or East side will offer better views, but face the street as well.. However, there is the rooftop viewing deck, so that compensates for no room view.

Needed a place to stay for a business trip. My meetings were on the west side of Lake Union, so this location seemed convenient. Checked reviews on TA after finding a sale price of $70/night on Hotels.com. At that price, I can't imagine a better hotel for what I needed.

Reaching the hotel was simple, taking the light rail from the airport to downtown for $2.75, then a bus transfer to the hotel. Bus stops are only a block away from hotel, and I used public transit to get most anyplace. If you prefer taxis, there are always one or two at the hotel.

The neighborhood was nice. Grabbed a burger at Dick's right outside the front door, and a hearty breakfast at Cafe Mecca less than a block away. Starbucks in the lobby is nice, and if you prefer to brew your own in the room they also have Starbucks for you there, along with free bottled H20 and microwave popcorn.

Room was comfortable, nothing lavish but totally nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Took in the views from the rooftop patio on a nice night, and got to see the Seattle skyline lit up nicely.

I'll definitely stay here again when business brings me to Seattle.

My husband and I make frequent trips to Seattle for short getaways, and have now stayed in most of the reasonably priced hotels in the downtown area. For our recent 3 night stay, we wanted to be near Seattle Center for an event we were attending, so we studied reviews of several establishments in the area.

We decided on the Mediterranean Inn which we'd always been curious about, and we were not disappointed. We hesitated to stay there because it is quite a distance from downtown, and we planned to do some shopping and attend another event downtown. We never bring a car to Seattle, but travel by Seattle Metro busses instead, after arriving by ferry. Transportation to and from downtown by bus was fantastic! We never waited for a bus for more than 5 minutes during at least 8 trips, and no bus stop was more than a block away.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We booked the room through Expedia and got a good rate under $75/night. In advance, we called the hotel and asked for a quiet room away from the elevator. We got it, and never heard another person anywhere near our room. We used the kitchenette extensively, since we often prefer eating in our room instead of dining in expensive restaurants. No utensils were provided, but the desk provided whatever we needed (dishes, silverware, etc.) on request. My husband was pleased to find that the ground coffee provided for the in room coffeemaker was Starbucks. The free microwave popcorn provided each day was also a nice touch. The front desk clerks were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful.

We found it a bit awkward that the only icemaker in the building is on the first floor. We also felt that charging $5/night for wi-fi is no longer appropriate in this digital age.

For any seniors interested in traveling by Metro bus in Seattle, it's well worth it to register a senior Orca card. It reduces nearly all bus trips to .75/trip. Registration can be done at the Metro Transit station at Westlake Center.

All in all, we loved our stay here and will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

Great value in a goood location. Frienfly staff. On the downside, no breakfast and expensive parking.

Walking distance to the needle and the waterfront including the publuc market. The gym is ok.
I did enjoy the stay here. Downstairs there is Starbucks. Beware when you park, you will get a ticket immediately.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Mediterranean Inn. We absolutely love the Lower Queen Anne area. The hotel has locked underground parking (for a small fee), so we just check in, park the car and walk or use the monorail to get around. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are quiet and the rooftop view is wonderful! The staff is incredibly polite and helpful. This is our "place to stay" when we visit Seattle!!!
