“Ah, The Nutcracker, the Ballet, McCall Hall”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

The PNB is one of the premier ballet companies in the U.S.--not quite in the league of the New York City ballet nor perhaps that of Chicago but first tier, first cabin.
One of the amazing things about this city is the incredible artistic culture from the Seattle Symphony, to the Opera and wow, that ballet company; on par or sometimes better than the San Francisco Ballet Company which isn't New York but not chopped liver--no amateur hour, this troup needs, meets, exceeds and
receives great support from the metro community.
If your in town during the season and have any interest in this most elegant of the performing arts, then make your way to Seattle Center and McCall Hall.

“PNB--a Ballet Lover's Paradise”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

There has not been a performance we did not love and we have been seeing this ballet company's productions for 20 plus years. The talent, the sets, the costumes, the music--all of it is amazing. If you live in Seattle try a performance who's title appeals to you. We guarantee that after doing that, you will sign up for a season!

“Great Ballet, pride and joy of Seattle”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

PNB (Pacific Northwest Ballet) is both a dance school and a performing troupe. The annual program is a mix of Balanchine inspired choreography (about 2/3) and some more modern approaches (about 1/3) for an excellent balance. Superb dancers, great choreography, live music and the great McCaw Hall venue.
For the quality offered (international level performances), the price of a seat is truly a bargain (half the price of what you would pay in NYC for the same quality ballet).

“Great place for dance training”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Open classes are great for current dancers and adults who just want a good workout. Prices are very reasonable and access to professional staff is wonderful. If a dance workout is not what you are looking for, their perfomances are incredible with amazing costumes and sets which compliment the highly skilled and talented dancers.

We dropped in to see rehearsals for aMid Summer Nights Dream with our fledgling ballerina. We were welcomed and the viewing at the studios were great. Very inspiring.
