This is a place to experience beauty, strength, and grace. My family has been changed for the better since our first visit.

This may not be the Bolshoi or the Royal Ballet, but PNB is a very fine ballet company with a talented, youthful ensemble, a nice mix of modern and classic ballet offerings each year, and a pleasant venue at the Seattle Center.

I am not a hard core classical ballet fan but attending the PNB midsummer night dream production was a great evening out on vacation in Seattle. The theater is part of the same complex as the Space Needle which I managed not to even realize until I was there! We went early to buy last minute tix which allows a discount for under-25. We got perfect seats for 50% off then had time to stroll outside before sitting down. It's a beautiful hall and classy operation. There is a very nice gift shop and cafe as well as free ( Starbucks sponsored!) coffee. The website, free program, and staff all provided a lot of good information very helpful for an out-of-towner and non ballet expert like me, and succeeded in making it all accessible and enjoyable.

The PNB is one of the premier ballet companies in the U.S.--not quite in the league of the New York City ballet nor perhaps that of Chicago but first tier, first cabin.
One of the amazing things about this city is the incredible artistic culture from the Seattle Symphony, to the Opera and wow, that ballet company; on par or sometimes better than the San Francisco Ballet Company which isn't New York but not chopped liver--no amateur hour, this troup needs, meets, exceeds and
receives great support from the metro community.
If your in town during the season and have any interest in this most elegant of the performing arts, then make your way to Seattle Center and McCall Hall.
