Really had a great time with the family during a week of perfect weather in Seattle. The hotel is beautiful, but a little dated. My wife and I stayed there many years ago when it was the Four Seasons. It doesn't look like much has changed. Not that it looks bad, but it does look like it's time for some renovation.
The room we had for the 4 of us was a corner suite and it is the perfect set up for a couple with 2 children. Two full bathrooms and a small kitchen area; although the kitchen doesn't have anything more than a small fridge and a sink Plenty of space to spread out. Everything was nice but the bathrooms could be up dated. Again, it's very nice but it's time. Like it's time for double sinks, a soaking/Jacuzzi tub w/ separate shower etc. Things you sort of expect from a Fairmont. Furniture was a little dated. I'm trying not to be too negative, because we would definitely go back.
The hotel staff were all great. First class service all the way.
Parking is a ridiculous $47 per day. More than the Four Seasons!
Room service was outstanding. I had the best crab cake I've ever had west of the Mississippi. There is an outstanding coffee shop on the lower level with sinful pastries. Shuckers is on the lower level and has great oysters. During happy hour they're half price. Worth planning for if you can schedule it around your activities.
The location is great for walking around Seattle and it's easy to hop on and off the I-5 if you're driving somewhere, well...easy by Seattle standards. Traffic is pretty awful all the time.
Again I would definitely stay there any time I go back to Seattle.
