“Ferry from Bainbridge Island to downtown Seattle”

Seattle Ferry Service Day Tours
Reviewed 27 January 2014

This is a ride worth taking, as the view is breathtaking. We rode from Bainbridge to downtown Seattle an as one approches you get an amazing view of the city. It helps if you do this on a clear day, but even if it is partly cloudy, as it was when my wife an I rode it, it is still worth it.
Took this ride in 2012 and plan on doing it again next time we visit, maybe we will do it at night and get a voiew of the city after the sun sets.

We rode the ferry over to Bainbridge Island which was not too expensive or very long a ride but we had great views of the Seattle waterfront line both coming and going. The ferry is a very comfortable ride with seats on deck. The ferry was very clean and the staff was very friendly and they do have refreshments if you care to purchase.

The ferry from Baimbridge Island to Seattle is one of the best uses of time with the least amount of money available today. The views are wonderful, both going and coming. The ferry was clean and the crew were helpful and happy. At certain times you might see the Puget Sound resident orca pods or families of seals.

We were warned! You can go out to Whidbey Island in a flash on Sunday morning but coming back to Seattle on Sunday evening will take hours. Four hours. So we didn't do that. We drove around the top across the bridge at Deception Pass and down into Seattle that way. It took 2 hours to do that.
We were also told that you can make a reservation on the ferry. That isn't true. The only one that accepts a reservation is the one that goes further west to Port Townsend, not the one that comes back to Seattle.
Still, the ride across the Sound on the ferry is a lot of fun and very scenic.
