Stayed 2 nights and everything was excellent! Gorgeous room, comfortable, sitting area and desk, great bed, and the free wi-fi was perfect. Easy walk to good Ballard restaurants and canal. It helped that the days I stayed the Seattle weather was perfect with upper 70 degree days. Plus, you get gym access and the gym is connected to the lobby.

Stayed 3 nights earlier this month. The check in was a breeze, super friendly front desk staff, beautiful lobby. Our room was a luxury suite, 301, facing Ballard Ave. The room itself was gorgeous, large sitting room with a surprising comfy sofa, a nice sized bedroom, and the bathroom was just over the top. Slipper tub, separate shower and water closet, Molton Brown products, great lighting. It was just amazing. I was a little nervous about the potential for street noise, given that Ballard is a popular spot for restaurants and bars, but it was not an issue at all - impressive, given that we were there Friday and Saturday night. The location is perfect. We're from Seattle, and know the area well - so it was great to stay in a hotel that allowed us to really enjoy the Ballard neighborhood - we walked everywhere, had some great meals, shopped. All in all, it was a very nice visit - and we'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding. We initially chose this hotel because of the convenient location near our venue, The Canal, which is only 1 mile away. However, we were so pleasantly surprised with the quality and beauty of this place, we ended up doing many photos with our photographers inside our room, lobby, rooftop, and bar. We stayed in a Courtyard Suit and it was worth every penny! The bed was comfortable and the entire space was really warm and inviting. The tub was also perfect for unwinding after a long night on the dance floor! We highly recommend this hotel if you're celebrating a romantic weekend or want a luxurious night away. The only negative thing I'd mention is that there didn't seem to be many people on staff so when we made requests for delivery to the room, it would take 15 minutes or more. However, each staff member was so helpful and nice, it didn't really bother us much.

Room Tip: The Courtyard Suits have doors that open up to the rooftop. It felt more luxurious opening the door...

Hotel Ballard is a real gem, and phenomenal value if you're not dead set on being downtown, or close to freeways. Ballard is an old Swedish area to the far norhtwest side of town with lots of cafes, bars, boutiques. The hotel, only about a year old, is amazing. Gorgeous décor, phenomenally comfortable beds with top-notch linens and huge feather pillows. Great thick towels and nice Gilchrest and Soames amenities. Also, get free access to the Olympic Health Club right next door which is top-notch and a great additional value. Some downsides -- no bellman or help with luggage and parking is a bit of a pain on the street (you can park in lot for $24/night but that seems exorbitant). I was able to find parking for 6 nights in a row on the street, so it's doable, but weekend days are really tough after 7 p.m. or so. All in all an amazing hotel, refreshingly different/boutique-size and hip locale.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to write such an incredible review of Hotel Ballard! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience with us and Olympic Athletic Club. We appreciate the feedback and will be sure to share it throughout the property.

I apologize that did not offer assistance with luggage during your recent visit. All of our staff our trained as bellman and we look forward to offering that assistance during your next visit. Also, self parking is available for $15 per night with a pass provided by the front desk and we will work to strengthen how we communicate that information upon check in.

Best,

The Hotel Ballard is one of those properties you hope to frequent on every trip. Okay, location is great (midst of Ballard). This places you in a 'target rich' area for shops, boutiques, cafes, coffee shops, restaurants...the list goes on. The property is attended to in just the right ways - clean, comfortable, pleasing to the eye. The Hotel Ballard being a hotel you just may want a good night's sleep. The answer? Beds & sheets are heavenly. Quiet? We stayed two nights and were there for a Friday night...and though there was lots of activity outside, the noise level was minimal. Before arrival I could not find information about parking but was pleasantly surprised to find a multi-story parking garage accessible by elevator from the lobby, with a pass provided for free parking. Best for last: the staff was friendly and attentive, offering a pleasant 'welcome back' every time we entered the lobby. And now a tour guide tip: the Chittenden Locks are nearby...take a walk to the park and visit the locks, you won't be disappointed.

Hello,

Great to hear that you had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Hotel Ballard! We are pleased that you found the staff to be friendly and attentive. We will share that feedback throughout the property.

The underground parking garage is something that we are excited to offer hotel guests and public parking for visitors. Parking in Ballard can be challenging, and we strive to make it easy and convenient. Unfortunately it is not free, but overnight parking is available to hotel guests for $15 per night and $1 per hour to visitors.

Thank you for the great review and excellent photos!

Best,

We live in Ballard and stayed here to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The hotel was fantastic, starting with giving us their "Ballard resident discount" - what a nice surprise! Then when we returned to our room after dinner, we found a bottle champagne chilling for us. What a nicer surprise! I must have mentioned the anniversary when I made the reservation, but it would have just been in passing. How lovely they noted it and then delivered the complimentary champagne. We'll go back for our 16th anniversary :)

The Ballard Hotel is one of the finest boutique hotels I have experienced. The location is superb, close to great restaurants and shops, including the excellent Stoneburner in the same building. The hotel is immaculate, with a beautiful lobby and spacious, comfortable rooms. Guests receive complimentary privileges at the Olympic Health Club, a complete workout facility attached to the hotel. But the most distinguishing characteristic is the staff. They are friendly and extremely helpful with any travel needs or questions. Just an exceptional place to stay -- I'll be back!
