Friends recommended this restaurant for brunch. its in the Fremont area of Seattle. We settled in as a party of 5 for brunch. Friend had the mimosa, about average. i ordered the breakfast burrito along with another person. Partner ordered collard greens, mac and cheese, cheesy grits and bacon. Ok partner noted that everything was delicious. The breakfast burrito lacked more sausage, i swear i only had one slice and the potatoes were not done. The flavoring was very bland and would have been enhanced by some salsa, but they dont make salsa for a breakfast burrito? Even Taco Bell has salsa. Very average and very bland.

Happy Menu items were very good, but wish that they had more from which to choose (i.e. similar to dinner menu, but small plates). What we had: hush puppies, crispy pig ear, honey gem salad, and Roux burger. The hush puppies were excellent. Prices were reasonable and service was great. Parking is on the street.

Nice cozy friendly neighborhood place serving an inventive NW version of southern Louisiana comfort food. We had the Eggs Hussarde (a version of Eggs Benedict but several notches higher) complete with Marchand de Vin Sauce and a rich spicy Bloody Mary and Beignets. Excellent renditions with a distinct NW twist here and there.

Our 3rd visit and consistently great!! Must have - Jalapeño hush puppies appetizers and beignets to finish. Both are fantastic. This trip we tried the jambalaya and loved it. Especially liked the 'head-on' shrimp which were succulent and fresh. We also had the Carbonara pasta with oysters. What a unique and delicious addition.

Oh and BTW - the drinks are special - the Sazarac, the rum punch were both great.

This is like being in New Orleans, but without the cost of the plane and hotel.

Went to Roux with four of us for lunch. The place was about 3/4 full and we got seated right away. The server gal looked really busy, but was very nice. Each of us got a different meal, and we all got to try all 4 things. The food was delivered hot and the plates looked appealing. We also got red beans and rice on the side. I found them too hot (as in spice), but very delicious. All in all, a great time was had by all, and I would definitely go back again. P.S. Try the root beer.
