“Favorite Breakfast Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

Walking into Pancake Chef is a bit like going through a time warp. The decor and atmosphere is reminiscent of a 70's diner. But don't let the looks fool you, this is a seriously good spot for breakfast. Of course, they have a huge pancake variety on the menu. The Blueberry Pancakes are delicious, fluffy, topped by a warm blueberry compote, and the serving is huge. The short stack is a great option. All the meals we've had here are so good, the service is friendly and efficient, and they leave a big pot of awesome coffee on your table. Just fantastic!

“Fresh squeezed orange juice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We were on a family trip to Seattle and this restaurant is within walking distance from the Tukwila light rail station. Great local small town feel and we loved the fact that not much had been updated since 1962 except the orange juice machine.
Best orange juice, squeezed right in front of you by a large machine with one guy who's job is to do nothing but fill it with oranges. (The kids nicknamed him "oranges" for the duration of our meal). The only bad part is that it goes into a large white bucket which at first is a little alarming. They serve simple breakfasts with pancakes, or eggs and hash browns.
We got the kids to try something new in the banana pancakes with honey-coconut syrup and the hash browns were perfect. The blueberry pancakes were average, but everything else was really good.
Service was excellent.
Prices were a little higher than I expected, it averaged $10 per person. A stack of 3 pancakes is $8 and a stack of 5 is $8.29 with no sides.

“Nice Place for Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

Locals eat here. The restaurant was full, but service was well organized so I did not have a wait. I had the roast beef hash. It was mildly spiced but went well with my eggs and pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly! Would eat here again.

“GOOD IDEA”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2014

This restaurant near SEA TAC airport was packed. They specialize in breakfast and have a large variety of dishes. I selected the special roast beef hash and was disappointed by the dish. My wife had Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed the dish.

I saw huge cinnamon rolls, German Pancakes, and several omelettes that looked fantastic. I should have ordered one of those....

Seems to be family run. The staff were slow, but that was understandable due to the large crowd.

This is an "Off Broadway" type place that serves up reasonably priced, good, non fussy food. if u need glitz & glamor go elsewhere!
