“Unreal and Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2012

This is the single most amazing building i have ever seen or been in. It is beautiful and every floor is filled with light and miraculous engineering. In fact, I recommend exploring the building by getting off at every floor. The fourth floor is a riot of vibrant pink ceilings, walls, and floor, the tenth floor has an amazing view to the bottom, the third floor has a small snack area, and everywhere are the coolest furnishings for people to read and study.

“A very different library experience.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2012

This library was worth visiting and I highly recommend it for any book enthusiast.

My teen & tween loved it, insisting they get to chill out and read there for awhile after we finished exploring the many levels. I found the red hall and neon yellow elevators intriguing. The dewey decimal spiral was interesting. Overall, while glad I went there, I'm happy that my own downtown library is a little more cozy/inviting than the Seattle Public Library, which feels a little austere for my liking.

“Seattle Public Library Main library”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2012

The main library is the flagship location in downtown Seattle.Seattle has the biggest population of a major city that checks out books at a library so this location fills the bill. See the mixing area, and the other floors , absorb the architecture. Go to the cafe there, and have a espresso drink.

“Amazing Space for Books, Technology, and People”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2012

This is a breath-taking building. Even to just walk into the lobby, grasp the spaciousness, check out the floor embellished with wooden typeset in different languages, grab a coffee, and note the amount of people in this edifice and you wouldn't think you were in a library. Instead of the typical dry rows of books in stacks, you are in a place you want to explore and spend lots of time. It's free; it's gorgeous; it's awe-inspring. Get out of Pikes Market for a hike up the hill and spend a few minutes in a spectacular piece of architecture.

“Hard to explain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2012

We stayed a block from this library and saw the great reviews on Trip Advisor--and my wife loves books--so we checked it out. It was not only the most interesting library we were ever in, the architecture was unbelievable. Really cool.
