I would have given this hotel 4 stars if the front desk had its act together. Judging from past reviews the staff here is great and I would agree that they are quite friendly, but here is the but... While checking in the person at the front desk did not know how to separate my reservation for two rooms into two separate bills. We were two couples each paying for our own rooms. He wanted each couple to sign an invoice that stated we were each to pay the price for both rooms, instead of each couple paying for their own room. Nope, not gonna do that. Then he had trouble making key cards and no surprise they did not work. When they did work, eventually, they only worked for one day and needed to get re-made. The front desk person said they would take something off our bill for the hassle, that didn't happen either. When we checked out, the front desk was able to separate our bill into two, but for a much higher rate than our confirmation. Nope, not gonna do that either. The only other con would be the obvious long flight up the stairs with our bags with no help offered.

Now here is the good part. Yes, everyone was helpful and they did try to get it right. There is complimentary wine, coffee and local newspapers which is a nice touch. Best of all were the beds. I would like to say this again -- yay beds! They were just right, with really nice linens and lots of great pillows. The Jr. Suite room had a desk, table and a leather couch and chair, which gave us a place to spread out a little. The bathrooms were not huge, but had enough shelf space to maneuver. The shower was quite nice and the whole room quite tidy and clean. The free wi-fi is a real plus as well. I really dislike that so many hotels are making you pay for wi-fi. Location was out of the fray, but within walking distance to everything.

Given the front desk situation I can only give them three stars, but I would give them another chance, because we had a great night's sleep.

What a great location - walking distance to just about everything! Room, Lobby, Restaurant - all first rate - everything you would expect and more! But I gotta tell ya, the staff is just the best!!! They know the town, they know the lay of the land outside of town, they know what you are gonna ask before you ask it! And they know it better!

The INN is everything you think of as a styling place to stay in Seattle - the Staff is so much more than you can imagine. I'm old skool - the people make the place. Find out for yourself!

Room Tip: If you prefer a bathtub, you will have to let them know, not all rooms have bathtubs.

Nice size rooms. The staff goes over and above to meet your needs. Within walking distance from Seattle Center and Pike Place Market. Nice added touches like chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, Keurig coffee in rooms, and nightly happy hour.

Great vibe and a wonderful staff. The location is perfect and you don't have to fight the hills. Highly recommend spending time in the restaurant - either for a dinner or a 9pm happy hour at the bar. There is also a 5pm-7pm happy hour upstairs in the lobby with free wine.

Great location. Room pretty cool...except for the HOLE IN OUR SHEET. Not the most expensive joint in town ($$$) but certainly not among the cheapest. Above average cost (In my opinion.) for a junior suite... at almost $600 for two nights...but goodness gracious... at least NOTICE the hole in the sheet - RIGHT BELOW THE PILLOW LEVEL. Staff should also be versed in sending faxes (and giving correct, incoming, fax numbers!)...good golly that is 1990's stuff. Sandy at the night desk is GREAT as was the nice guy on check in (David?). Would I stay here again. NOPE. Was it terrible? Nope. Would I expect more? Uh YES. . . in my humble, well-travelled, opinion.

A very nice renovated older hotel with a lot of modern touches. The staff is very friendly and helpful with a personal touch. In our room we received fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and a personal greeting card. Keurig coffee available all day and wine served in the evening. The bed were very comfortable and the room was very clean. Everything was in close walking distance.

Room Tip: A corner room gives you a great view of the city. Regarding the noise; you are in downtown Seattle...

Entire bride's family took over hotel for wedding weekend. Service was excellent, friendly and professional. Lobby was warm and inviting for family gabfests. David (manager) went out of his way to make our celebration gathering wonderful. We have stayed at the Inn before and will be there many times in the future. Great staff, great decor, excellent location.

Room Tip: The "Marilyn" suite is perfect.
