“Great Location for Sports / Concert - but ...”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

Pro's : We stayed here for the Paul McCartney concert - Hotel is directly across the street from Safeco Field ...Location is THE BEST ...Had Dinner & Drinks at Jimmys...All Good !

Shuttle is Great and the Drivers are SO nice & helpful. Really Nice Guys who go out of there way for you.

Cons: Rooms are around a 3 Star .. the Location for a Sports Game /Concert is what makes this hotel great.

BIG CON : The Train goes by this hotel and holds it's horn down the whole time. It came by both Friday & Saturday night at 1:30 am and blew the horn the whole time going thru ... It came by again around 6am both mornings and held it down again ... It's crazy. That's the only reason I don't think we will stay here again. With the Price (over $400 because of the concert) we can't be staying directly next to a train but besides that ... Had a Great Time!

We just spent a 3 day weekend at the Silver Cloud Hotel Stadium and were blown away. The location, the views, the service and mostly the staff and management. They were gracious and extremely helpful with any request and need we had. They provided great insight to local area attractions and made our stay extraordinary. Great room, great price, great staff!!!

We stayed at the Silver Cloud Hotel Stadium on July 10 and 11 to see the Red Sox play the Mariners at Safeco Field. We arrived early about 9:30 am but they had a room with two beds ready. The Concierge helped take our luggage up. We had a view of the courtyard between the buildings on the 7th floor. The lobby furniture is getting old. We walked across the street to the Safeco Field for a 10:30 tour that morning.. The shuttle took us to Pioneer Park in the afternoon and picked us up when we called later. That night we walked across the street for the game. There were many fans in the hotel. The next morning we ate breakfast at Jimmy's before taking the shuttle to the Klondike Museum. We walked back to the hotel and crossed the street to the stadium for the day game. There was a Gold Cup soccer match that evening at Qwest field. We took the shuttle downtown for dinner but had to wait 30 minutes for the return and then had to ride through town as the driver dropped people off at different destinations. I would stay at this hotel if I were going to any sporting event at either field. The room price was high because of games. There are limited restaurants in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for stadium view.

Very nice hotel. Directly across the street from the ballpark and close to the airport. The hotel shuttle will take you to attractions such as Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market. The Space Needle is only a few miles away. We found the room to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The beds were comfortable too. The price per night was a little on the high side, but we went to three ballgames and wanted the convenience of not needing transportation to and from the game. We didn't bother with a rental car and were happy with that decision. Room service was fast and the food (which was excellent) was from the attached restaurant. The restaurant lounge was also very nice. The staff is the type that goes out of their way to help. I wouldn't hesitate to book a room here on a return trip.

Awesome Hotel. Loved the stay 100%. The room we has was a standard room, but it was very nice. Great interior décor, modern yet comfortable. The views out our windows were of Safeco field where the seattle mariners play baseball. Our kids loved it. The rate was typical downtown seattle, a little high compared to the suburbs but worth it. The staff was spectacular. The courtesy of checkin / checkout was superb.

They also have a nice little restaurant downstairs that serves all day, very handy for our family to catch breakfast and have a late night snack. All in all, a great place to stay, especially if youre going to a baseball game the next day!

I stayed at this hotel for one night and at the last minute I caught a baseball game, since it was right across from the hotel. It's a perfectly nice hotel, though not a tons of character. It's a nice hotel, with big rooms, comfortable beds, and a giant TV. There was a soccer game that night and the vuvuzelas were a little annoying late at night, but nothing too bad. I took the shuttle to the light rail station in the morning, which was nice and easy.

This hotel is literally at the Stadium entrance. Perfect spot to stay when going to a Mariner's game. The hotel looks like it gets a lot of use from baseball fans - a little worn around the edges. We had a Suite and my parents had a double Queen room. The Suite was on the corner facing the Stadium and had an odd layout. The linens and bedspread could have used a refresh and there were stains on the ceiling, but overall it was comfortable and it was fun to watch the crowd coming and going from the stadium. The rooftop pool is neat because you can see the stadium from it - however it is very small and under 4 feet deep. The food in Jimmy's restaurant was good - however, service was a little slow. Front desk and Valet nice and helpful. We would stay here again because of perfect location.
