I am not sure which of the Stay Alfred 1st Ave Appts I should be putting this review under, as there are quite a few listed and non of the photos are a match. We stayed in apartment number 1805 over Christmas for a week. It was just above a Starbucks overlooking the art gallery.
It was such a lovely surprise to arrive to a rental that exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, very spacious and well equipped. It was perfect for our family if 5 or would suit 2 couples.
Great wifi and TV. During the snow it was lovely and warm to come home to.
The kitchen had all we needed to cook a Christmas dinner.
Only a couple of blocks to the market so brilliantly located. Easy to walk every where. City views.
The only small things that could be smoothed out were the checking in process and limited lighting in the master bedroom (literally just one bedside lamp, no other lighting). In order to get to the key cupboard to use the code to extract our keys we needed to go through a locked front door. Clearly could be an issue if no one is around to let you in, we had a short but frustrating wait. Also when you pick up the keys some instructions about how to find the apartment would be useful. There are several towers and it is not clear which one to go to. But this is a minor issue in a great stay.
Everything was perfect, apartment super nice, clean with a great view on an amazing location....from now on every time on vacation I will look for Stay Alfred apartments
After staying at Harbor Steps in Seattle it will be difficult to stay in a hotel again on vacation. The unit is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with every basic convenience provided. The location is superb--convenient and within easy walking distance to all must-see attractions such as the market, the waterfront, the piers for day trip excursions, restaurants, Pike Market, the museum, the monorail entrance, and Benaroya Hall for a show or concert. Restaurants of all kinds are at your fingertips and and well stocked. A well priced little market is in the courtyard to fill the fridge with immediate necessities. Price, comfort, location, ease of booking are five star plus.
This was a lovely apartment with a view to die for! The location of the building couldn't have been better but better yet was the reception from Rick and the constant assistance he provided us with. I would definitely stay there again!!!
Very spacious and nicely furnished apartment. Way more space than a comparably priced hotel with similar quality of accommodation and better location that most hotels downtown. Only a couple of pretty expensive ones are this close to the market and the waterfront. Terrific location one block from like st. market and two blocks from Seattle aquarium and water front. We had great city skyline views. Very clear directions on how to get into the apartment. It's got enough towels and toiletries but isn't as luxurious as comparable priced hotel in this respect. Kitchen was well enough appointed to cook simple meals. But restaraunts in the area are so many and so good we didn't cook anything more than toast for breakfast. We come to settle frequently and will stay here anytime our trip allows staying downtown. We didn't use the pool but like the idea there is one.
Good place to stay and central to everything downtown. The only down side would be that you get charged 30 a day for parking that's a little ridiculous. But other than that we loved the place.
This was our third stay at Harbor Steps, and it remains one of my family's favorite places to visit. The proximity to Pike Place is perfect! The beds were comfortable, and the condo was very clean. We are already planning our next trip to Harbor Steps.
My only complaint is about the parking. We were charged a different amount (ranging from $8 to $35) every time we left the garage, and were told that they didn't have a weekly parking rate. The rates didn't seem to have any correlation with how many hours we parked (the $8 parking was from 4pm until 10am the next morning). Stay Alfred used to provide parking - it would be great if they brought it back.
