Our experience staying at this hotel started well and ended terribly. We wen't to bed one night and were woken up at 1am by the doorbell going off. We thought at first this was somebody drunk or accidentally hitting the bell, but there was no one out there. The doorbell then proceeded to go off repeatedly after that.
We contacted the front desk at 1:30am to alert them to the fact that the doorbell was malfunctioning and going off repeatedly. The front desk responded by offering to bring up earplugs, but provided no other remedy.
The next morning after the doorbell saga we went to check out and informed the front desk that there was a malfunctioning doorbell in our room and that it kept us up all night. The front desk person briefly apologized, but seemed disinterested and it also seemed like this was not the first time she had received this feedback. The hotel offered no remedy to the issue.
I doubt the hotel has addressed this issue based on their response, so I would avoid suite 1008 if you muster the courage to stay and risk a sleepless night!
If you have made it to the end of this review, the other aspects of our stay were just fine, but not being able to sleep pretty much ruined the experience for us.
