“Quality, Luxury, Value”
Reviewed 6 August 2011

We stayed at the Pan Pacific for 3 nights at the end of July. It is everything you want in a high-end, luxury hotel, but at a still fairly reasonable price.
During our stay in Seattle, we were fortunate to have good weather. The sun poured in through the large windows in our hotel room, and our room on the 5th floor faced the Space Needle. We enjoyed the view immensely.
The room itself was spacious and airy-feeling, done in muted neutral colours that brightened it even further than the gorgeous sunlight. We found the T.V. slightly on the small side (I think it was 26"), considering that the Pan Pacific is considered to be a luxury hotel. However, the spacious accomodations and clean, luxurious bathroom made up for the smallish T.V.
The hotel room came with a free appetizer or dessert voucher for the Seastar restaurant next door. We enjoyed a meal full of seafood there- try the crab & corn bisque, it is so flavourful and delicious.
The proximity of the Whole Foods Market was a major highlight for our stay at the Pan Pacific, if not Seattle all together. Excellent prepared foods, great shopping experience, and you could eat at the Whole Foods Market or take it back to the hotel room.
The Pan Pacific hotel provided great value and luxurious accomodations.

Great location, beautiful view of the space needle from our window and the staff couldn't have been nicer.

Stayed for 2 nights with my wife and son. We were first put in a room that was too small and not what we thought we had reserved. We told the front desk about our dissatisfaction. They said they were nearly full but did manage to move us to a larger room. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Large bathroom.

Stayed here for 2 nights, we had 2 adjoining rooms. Quick and friendly check-in, friendly valet, nice lobby.

Rooms were nice, very spacious bathroom in both rooms.

Ordered room service for 5, fries on 4 of the orders were stone cold, ordered bread & butter which we did not receive. Caesar salad was made with very unfresh lettuce. Called about the fries being cold, and request that replacement fries be sent up, which we did receive. Was not really pleased at all with the meal. Ordered room service again the next night, also requested bread for 6, was charged $12 for 6 pieces of bread!!

No soda machines in the hotel, went to Whole Foods downstairs, no regular pop is sold there, only "organic" pop (nothing to do with the hotel, just a heads up if you are a pop drinker).

After staying at a hotel, you should have the feeling that you can't wait to come back and that you want to tell everyone what a wonderful stay it is. This hotel in my opinion is just okay, I would not return here. We will continue to stay at the Hyatt at Olive 8 where we usually stay.

Spent a week at the Pan Pacific in a Space Needle view room and would definitely return. It is a beautiful hotel, really nice comfortable rooms, big bathroom with separate shower and decorated beautifully. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even have a car service that will take you anyway in a 2 mile radius in the morning and evenings. The hotel is located walking distance from the lake, Space Needle, and the downtown restaurants and shopping. As a bonus, the hotel sits on top of Whole Foods where they serve the best breakfasts ever! Also, attached to the hotel is Starbucks. I am a princess when it comes to traveling and hotels and this hotel definitely met my princess standards!

Room Tip: I booked a Space Needle view and it did not disappoint. Got a really good view of Seattle.

The Pan Pacific Seattle is a very nice hotel with great rooms. The hotel is clean & quiet. The location is not touristy but close to everything. Pike Place is about 12 blocks away (15 min walk). You will have to negotiate some hills but when the weather is nice it is enjoyable.

The only thing that held me back from giving the Pan Pacific an excellent rating was the breakfast in the Lobby Bar. We were up early & there were few options for breakfast nearby in the morning. Service was extremely slow and disorganized. We were not in any rush, but it took a long time before we were even acknowledged. Beverages and food also took a very long time. If you are in a rush, do not eat here or order fruit only. The food was also only ok. We had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and it was very salty.

If you are looking for breakfast, try Starbucks or Whole Foods.

My best friend and I planned a short trip to Seattle for this past weekend and we wanted to stay someplace nice, someplace centrally located, and someplace that would be easy to get to via a major highway exit. The Pan Pacific met our needs quite well, though we encountered a few snags in terms of our room. We booked a lake view queen room, which ended up being a construction-site-with-the-lake-in-the-far-background-view room, but the room itself was very nice -- except for said snags. Herewith, I will attempt to describe for you the pluses and minuses of our stay this weekend.

The cons:
(1) One of the light sockets was not working, which posed a problem for me because I travel with a CPap machine and I needed an outlet near the bed. The front desk promised to send someone up to look at the problem and offered an extension cord in the meantime. I don't know if they ever sent someone up to look at the socket but the socket remained "dead" our entire stay, so while this particular snag was not a biggie, it was not fixed either.
(2) The cordless phone next to the bed was virtually impossible to use.
(3) Some of the promised little extras, such as a corkscrew, and a cubby in the mini fridge for storing food or drink items we purchased were missing from the room.
(4) We requested a wakeup call the day of our departure, but did not receive one.

The pros:
(1) The hotel is in a great location, close to a trolley stop, good restaurants, and above a Whole Foods.
(2) Our room was very clean and smelled fresh.
(3) Our bathroom was large and spa-like, with a wonderful soaking tub.
(4) The bed and the rollaway cot were both very comfortable.
(5) We got a pretty decent rate for our stay.

All in all and taking all of the above into consideration, while our stay at the Pan Pacific was not perfect, it came pretty close, and I feel good about recommending this hotel to others.
