Great area, walkable to all major tourist venues in Seattle. 10-15 min to middle of downtown and Pikes Market
Whole Foods underneath the Hotel, Starbucks (open at 5am!) next door. what else could you want?
Lovely rooms, but the huge bathrooms, separate tub and shower, were purely luxurions!
Breakfast was expensive, but there are lots of places to eat in the area.
24 hour doorman who not only assist, but give great advice on restaurants, tours, taxis, etc. In short, this place is a gem, and I have worked in many hotels throughout my career!

Room Tip: Whole Foods underneath the Hotel made food shopping, and eating, very convenient,. And the Starbucks...

First trip to Seattle for our honeymoon. Top to bottom the best hotel experience in years. Gracious, service oriented, great rooms and quality focused.

I thought the location was great. Combination of downtown experience and emerging new residential district. Whole foods, spa, views of space needle and Starbucks adds to the experience. Portage Bay restaurant is very close and amazing.

Highly recommend this hotel. It offers the complete experience. Have fun!

My wife and I went to the Pan Pacific for our 20th anniversary. When we checked in, we found we had been upgraded to a stunning corner room with great views of the Space Needle. A few minutes after arriving at our room, I answered a knock at the door to find that they'd sent up a bottle of champagne on ice with two champagne flutes and four beautiful chocolates from the Seastar restaurant downstairs (also excellent!). We've stayed here a couple of times now and have found the service to be great with friendly staff and any special needs dealt with. Definitely recommended!

It was our first visit to Seattle and we wanted to do it right, so we booked 3 nights at the Pan Pacific. The hotel is beautiful and the room was very nice (my only complaint would have been the view, but it really wasn't that big a deal to us). I booked the room and the hotel pretty much because of the bathtub and it didn't disappoint (they even provide bubbles!) On our first morning, we woke up to no water due to a broken pipe at the neighboring Starbucks. The staff handled it very professionally; we knew they were getting hammered about it, but it was really out of their control. They delivered four bottles of water to our room so we could get ready for our day. The water was turned back on at 3 pm and they came by the room at 5 to make sure everything was working properly and to ask if housekeeping needed to come back in. The next morning, we received a note under the door requesting that we stop by the front desk at our convenience to speak with the manager on duty regarding the water issue. When we stopped by, Heather, the manager, was unable to comp us a night, since we had booked through American Express (Travelocity), so she offered to buy us dinner at Seastar, which was quite lovely. We really appreciated all that the staff did to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
The valet guys were all very helpful with directions and recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood. On our last day, after we had checked out, we planned to go back to Pike Market to pick up some items to take home. Rather than hassle with parking at the market, the valet staff offered to drive us down and to pick us up when we were finished. All in all, I really have to commend the staff and the management of the Pan Pacific for their excellent customer service; we will certainly stay with them on our future visits to Seattle.

The staff are first rate and know the area and make great suggestions of nearby 5 star dining. Along with the great staff is the fact the location is near (within walking distance) of fantastic restaurants, and Whole Foods Market is at the bottom of the facility. You can not beat the location and the ease of getting around using public transportation. Thanks to Joe, Chris, and Eric for the great stay at the Pan Pacific. BTW Seattle is a fantastic destination.

Room Tip: All the rooms have good views, but try to get the upper floors facing the Needle

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Seattle for a friend's birthday weekend. After arriving late on Friday night we were efficiently checked into our room (3rd floor) with an excellent view of the Space Needle. I have read reviews that speak about the noise of sirens at night, with the windows shut it wasn't very noticeable, the second night we had the window open and there are some sirens throughout the night, but nothing too disruptive.
The room had 2 double beds (2 queens would have been a preferable, but I don't think that's an option). The open bathroom was unique and fun when you're trying to get ready to go out, one person can use the mirror in the bathroom and easily communicate with the other person in the room.

Now with the unexpected. NO WATER - We woke up on Saturday morning, only to find out there was a burst water pipe and there had been a flood in the Whole Foods (directly below the hotel) and we had no water. We were told they would bring 2 bottles of water to our room and that they didn't have an estimated time the water would be back on. We left for breakfast and returned, still no water, but were now told that the fitness facility had showers and toilets for us to use (this info would have been good when we first contacted the front desk). Also when we returned to our room, though it had been cleaned, the promised water was nowhere, this again would have been nice to have in the room instead of going downstairs to pick it up ourselves. Headed out again, returned by 2pm, still no water, so decided to head out for the evening celebrations. When we returned to the hotel late that evening the water had been fixed (thankfully).
We checked out the next morning, and admitted that it was an inconvenience, and the hotel took care of one night of our stay.
Understandably, this wasn't the hotel's fault and we were pleased with the end result, left us with a positive experience of the hotel.

To note, the concierge and valets were very helpful with recommendations that suited our needs.
