The Arctic Club Seattle - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Most of the Hilton chain hotels have a corporate / non personable feel to them. However, The Arctic Club is definitely not like that. I was looking for a hotel in the Seattle area on my Hilton points and chose this over the regular Hilton due to the personality it looked like it had on the pictures, and it met every or exceed expectation I had.

The staff/ service here went above and beyond my expecations. The staff was super super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. They also gave us a complimentary cookie at check in, and in the room, there was a personalized welcome note with two bottles of water, and caramel pop corn, which I thought was a really nice touch. For turn down service, they left two pairs of slippers and candy! It's little touches like that which make a hotel from good to great.

The room itself was very nice with lots of character. I really loved the personality and decoration of the room, compared to the corporate looking rooms of most Hiltons. As a Hilton Diamond member, we were upgraded to the top floor which came with a balcony and amazing view of the Seattle skyline. Another nice surprise was the oversized jacuzzi tub (big enough to fit two!) - I think I took 4 baths in my one night stay here.

Tip: They charge $41 a night for parking at the hotel, but there's loads of parking garages within a few blocks for half the price. We found a garage on 2nd and Columbia two blocks away for only a $10 flat fee from 3pm til 1pm the next day.

Room Tip: The rooms on the top floor have a balcony and jacuzzi tub. I think lower floor rooms have shower onl...

Friendly and helpful staff with a room full of comfort! The beds were so comfortable I could have stayed in them. The room had plenty of space to move around and work also, with a desk and a sitting area. This hotel is well worth the price! Tip: stay on one of the higher floors for a quieter experience further away from the street noise.

Came to town for a family wedding and a lot of us stayed here. The reception was at Smith Tower, so close by, and also a historic landmark. We loved the turn-of-the-century feeling of the lobby and the rooms. Very classy. Very comfortable beds. Highly recommend.

The Arctic Club takes guests back to the age of early 20th century arctic exploration, an age in which Seattle played a prominent role. As such, the hotel features a wonderful atmosphere and considerable charm. However, guests expecting a host of modern amenities and conveniences should probably stay elsewhere.

I found the refrigerators in the rooms to be loud, possibly because they were an older model. I had to disconnect the fridge in the room initially assigned to me, but could still hear the fridge in the next room late at night. Upon being moved to another room, I still had to disconnect the room fridge.

The hotel location is good but not great, about 4-5 long blocks east and north of most restaurants and shops in downtown Seattle.

This was our second stay in this lovely hotel. Our room on the 10th floor was wonderful with a magnificent view of the city. The bed and the food at Juno are equallly yummy and we just love the added perk of being able to fly into SeaTac, hop right on the light rail (for $2.75ea), and arrive directly across the street from the hotel at Pioneer Station in 20 minutes!Couldn't be any easier or more pleasant! We LOVE this hotel and will return often when we visit our family in Olympia!!

Really neat place. Historic rooms and a classy staff. Victor in the bar is exceptional. As a downtown place , it is no more quiet than anywhere there, but would stay there again tomorrow. Note that parking is pricey.
