we had a group of 3 couples stay at this hotel to start our vacation to Alaska and everyone was pleased with the hotel and it's history. Make sure you get to the bar in hotel as it was just as nice as the rest of the hotel

Room Tip: Not a bad room in the group

For some reason,it was tough to get a 3 night stay in Seattle 6/16 to 18.We were booking at the last minute I realize, having an unexpected trip to Seattle. We paid 450/a night for a room here.Location for the bus line and ferries was excellent. The Hotel staff were pleasant and the room was a little crowed with furnishing's but fine.Large bathroom. The building itself was established and they made a Hotel out of it.Hence the large baths and smaller room. They have period furniture and lighting based on the Artic explorers theme in common areas and rooms which is dim at best.Bring your head lamps to read! Our room was a bit loud over looking the buildings HVAC Unit. You can't do much about traffic and siren noise in a city.I wouldn't venture through Pioneer square a couple of blocks away with any less then two people.Pretty seedy, although I think it's trying to make a come back.Used Recommended limo for early AM flight worked out perfectly.I wouldn't pay 450. to stay here again.

You did the best you could.....but This is an old building (Arctic Club). There is no pool, rooms are small, A/C is clumsy, on off direct blast, just not top shelf I would expect for a Hilton. In the future I will get much better value from a Comfort Inn level motel. $41 valet parking when $20 something parking is right on the block seems excessive. (And we walked to 1st street anyway due to the marathon. Not your fault, but valet rates should not apply.) Your personnel were all very cordial and did a fine job.

On my return of my road trip in the West Coast, I decided to splash out a bit and stayed in The Arctic Club, which is a Double Tree by the Hilton Group. The building has a lots of history,. The Arctic Club was formed in 1908 by successful veterans of the Klondike Gold Rush. The existing Alaska Club was merged that year into the Arctic Club. In Seattle, it was a fraternal men's club for businessmen with Gold Rush or Alaska connections. The Arctic Club in Seattle was first located in 1909 on 3rd Avenue and Jefferson Street in the Morrison Hotel, also known as the Arctic Club Building. A later dispute moved the club's site to the current site in 1916. The whole building has cream white terra cotta with submarine blue and orange-brown accents. I thought to myself, I might not be an explorer, but I am one in spirit.

The inside deco is very atmospheric, there is a neon blue Polar bear and the lobby and bar is like an old colonial hotel. The room is nice, and it has been renovated a few year's back, so there are plenty of dock station for the electronic toys. The bed is firm. I asked for a extremely quiet rooms, because I have ears like a hound dog. I got the last room on the 5th floor at one end of the corridor, it was very quiet. The amenities are great. The tea and coffee were especially good quality. It is one of the best Double Tree I stayed.

Wifi and breakfast are complimentary for Gold HHonors members. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Fabulous bed and pillows, French press coffee in room, bathroom with period style design in this 1917 terra cotta tile exterior former club in the heart of downtown, short walk to Pioneer Square, Safeco Field and Pike Place. Felt like staying in a piece of Seattle history. A charm.

Room Tip: Street noise on 3rd Avenue dies down after the work day rush hour

We stayed here on the way back from Alaska. We took the train from the airport, and were glad that we did....the hotel is located right next to the Pioneer square station. Fare is $2.75 per person and much quicker than a cab. I think the schedule is essentially every 15 minutes, so this was very convenient.

When we arrived at 2pm, our room was not ready. The hotel stored our bags, which allowed us to take a hike down to the waterfront..... which was about a 10 minute walk....be aware, the walk back to the hotel is primarily uphill.

This is a remodeled and updated old hotel with a ton of character. It looks like each room has been somewhat uniquely decorated...which was fun. Do not expect a typical Hilton room layout, or décor, but the amenities are still there.. the beds were great.

All of the staff were very friendly, and the hotel gave us complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Overall, the stay was relaxing and enjoyable....

Great downtown location, close to pier, Amtrak, and restaurants. The front desk staff were polite and professional. Check-in was a breeze. Room was very nice and room service was good as well. I will definitely stay here again.
