Best Western Plus Pioneer Square Hotel

We would ordinarily not chosen this hotel judging from the surrounding neighborhood right on the wharf but we had a certificate for a free-night at a BW Plus Hotel and we wanted to spend one night on Seattle on our drive back to Portland from Vancouver, B.C. That being said, we were there just long enough for a terrific dinner at the pier, a great night's sleep and a lovely breakfast at the hotel and we were on our way home before 8 a.m. The hotel is on the Register of Historic Places and just as it must have been around the turn of the century but immaculate and charming, the staff was extremely accommodating and, as were were not out past sunset, were not bothered by the presence of some sketchy characters (as you might find near the pier in an old port town). And the price was right!

A very comfortable, quiet and relaxing stay at the Best Western in Seattle. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. We were close to the waterfront area, and within walking distance of most sights. Public transportation, including ferries, are close. We would stay there again!

Some of the reviews describe this as a bad location, but I thought it was great. I liked being close to Pioneer Square. There are a lot of shops and restaurants, it's about 3 blocks from a light rail station and walking distance from Pike Place Market. We felt safe here.

This hotel has a historic feel with a big open staircase. (And an elevator, of course.) The rooms are nice and the staff is super helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is that the pillows in our room were really bad, flat and lumpy. The continental breakfast was exactly what you get almost everywhere these days, which is fine. Since the market is just up the street, it would have been nice if they had provided fresh fruit from there instead of food service apples, oranges, and bananas.

We stayed two nights and the second night our room was $50 higher because of a music festival in town. All the hotels in downtown did this. The only reason I bring it up is that the hotel's normal rate is pricey but acceptable for what you get, but the extra fifty made it overpriced, in my opinion.

Reasonable prices for Seattle, this hotel is on the Historic Register. Large rooms, tall ceilings and very friendly staff. Free continental breakfast and free wi fi. Lots of restaurants in the building and within walking distance. The bathrooms are very clean with fluffy towels. If you can get a reservation, you won't be disappointed. Fairly quiet as well.

Trying to find a reasonably priced good hotel in Seattle was proving to be almost impossible until we stumbled onto this one. We didn't have high expectations but we were very happy with its location and the hotel itself. Very close to the waterfront and all the great restaurants, walking distance to Pike Place Market and a short cab ride to the Space Needle. The parking garage is just down the street, is $20 a day and you are given an access card to enter. As a lot of things we wanted to do did not require our car, it was not a problem. We did go out one night to dinner in Tacoma, and returned after 10 pm and the garage was closed! But we found out that the access card opens the doors and we went right in. The breakfast was fine - cereals, breads, bagels, yogurt, some Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Our room was nicely furnished, clean and quiet even though we were next to an alley. In addition, this hotel is a national historic sight going back to the founding of Seattle. Highly recommend!!

This beautiful hotel has great facilities and an excellent staff. The main issue is that the Pioneer Square location has a serious homeless problem with aggressive pan-handling. This, coupled with having to park a couple of blocks away makes leaving the hotel an unpleasant experience. We ate the breakfast which was OK because it was easier than going out for breakfast. The staff was very helpful and we did walk to some excellent restaurants but I felt hassled the whole time.

We recently took our summer holiday. We stayed at the best western in seattle and found this hotel to be the perfect place to be.We parked our car when we arrived and never had to use it again. Everything is within walking distance. The ball park is only 5 blocks away.We went down by the water and enjoyed a open market, park benches, and just strolled around. There are alot of nice shops and bars along the streets, which were full of people. The streets were busy and everyone seemed to be having fun.I would stay at the best western again just because of the location and the beds we awesome, soooo comfortable!!!!!

Room Tip: I'm not sure about the other rooms but our room was fine.If all the rooms are the same, then you...
