This appeared to be an older property that could use a little bit of updating but provided a comfortable stay. The room was very large and had a comfortable bed, microwave, and fridge. Everything worked and I had no complaints about the room. I had two complaints during my four day stay. The hotel has a key card system for the elevator that requires you to use your key card to call the elevator. My card rarely worked and the staff had difficulty furnishing me a card that would work. They admitted that it is a poor system. My other complaint concerned the breakfast. The breakfast room was too small and narrow for the number of guests. People were constantly bumping into each other trying to get to the food. Also, there was not enough seating and the staff did a poor job keeping the breakfast items stocked. Overall, I would stay here again because the room was fine, the location was close enough to downtown, and the price of $86.00 per night was reasonable for Seattle.

We were unable to get a hotel that was within budget in downtown Seattle. We picked this hotel because it fit our budget. It is located about 8 miles from downtown Seattle. Luckily the traffic was okay in the morning (7-ish am), so we got there in half an hour.

The hotel room was a bit worn out but everything looked clean. The room was adequately spacious.

There was no business center but a computer without printer in the lobby. The staff however could help you print your documents in their office.

The breakfast room was small and choices of food were limited. There were only bread and pastries, waffle, yogurt and boiled eggs. Juices and coffee were also available.

It was a value-for-money stay for business travellers. If you are going on a honeymoon, go to somewhere else.

Thank you!

We do strive to be friendly, thats part of why we do what we do. The desire to serve others.

We have great rate year round, at least 1/2 of what you would find downtown.

We are not a full service hotel with room service and the like. We are a limited service hotel in order to bring you better rates. We do make mistakes as you will read here, We do try really hard to fix any problem that comes our way.

Sincerely,

When we searched for a hotel near our relatives who live in Ballard, we found that neighborhood is very "hotel poor." And we know that the south end of Aurora Avenue is plagued with motels featuring "hourly rates" and associated clientele. So we decided on this Comfort Inn at 137th Street.

Not the spiffiest Comfort Inn in the world; but generally clean and tidy. A few stains on the carpet and furniture; oh well. Towels and bedding were clean, bed was comfortable.

The Wi-fi worked fine for us.

The windows open, so there's fresh air. Aurora traffic was not too noisy, even on a Saturday evening.

We looked in at the breakfast room, and it appeared to be the usual ChoiceHotels/BestWestern offerings. (We had other breakfast plans with friends, so actually ate elsewhere.)

The neighborhood isn't really "industrial" as one reviewer complained. Behind the hotel is residential (mostly single family); up and down Aurora is retail: Sam's Club, Office Depot, Home Depot, unmemorable fast food joints, etc. You do have to go elsewhere -- quite a distance elsewhere -- for quality restaurants. (Although Rob's 125th Street Grill, 12 blocks south, appears to be an okay family restaurant.)

Big plus: we paid about $100 a night in August; any other alternative we looked at was over $150, sometimes much over.

Thank you for your comments.

Yes, the neighbourhood does have characters, the Aurora Merchants Association works very hard with the SPD to make this a safe neighbourhood. I think the local homeowners enjoy this area because it is central to everything.

Yes the 125th Street bar and grill is very good. Everyone I send there enjoys it and has nothing but nice comments- They even serve brunch.

Thanks again,

Having stayed in many other comfort inns before this one was below par.

Tiny sofa cushion sized pillows on bed.

Broken sofa bed (booked suite for a sofabed for our teenage son) he ended up sleeping on floor 1 st night as we got no answer when we rang receptions.

Extremely thin walls could hear multiple conversations from other rooms.
Constant noise of water/toilet flushing from pipe in corner of room.

Non smoking room smelt of tobacco/stale

Broken elevator and stairs did not lead to lobby only to a fire exit.

Wifi was poor.

Breakfast room poorly stocked
