The four of us greatly enjoyed our dining experience here, ordered many small plates to share and most were outstanding. Very creative and well-prepared dishes with excellent service. Will definitely return.

We visited the new Fremont location of Joule with our daughter and fiancé to celebrate her birthday. The setting is casual but sophisticated and fun. We ordered two dishes each over a range of vegetables, noodles, meat, seafood. Each dish had some light to moderate connection to typical dishes on a Korean or Chinese menu, with a stronger connection to French, Northwest, or steakhouse roots. The beef short ribs were excellent, and the sirloin melted in our mouths. All presentations were beautiful, as were our cocktails. Our server provided helpful guidance and friendly efficient service. In summary, a delicious meal unlike expected stereotypes for Asian or fine dining destinations elsewhere in Seattle.

Came here with a bunch of friends just recently; we got reservations easily (for a Saturday eve). I like the space, maybe even more in the summer when they can have outdoor seating; great bar area; but overall it can be "warmer" and less noisy. Food-wise, we ordered many dishes but the fact that I can barely remember any of it to write about in detail for this review (and no, I wasn't sloshed nor availed of the new pot legalization law! I will though.) and none of us were talking about any of the dishes afterwards (like we usually do after group dinners) just suggests, what?...we had insipid dishes or we had better topics to talk about? To be fair, we don't remember any of the food or drinks being disappointing but on the other hand, it failed to excite--thus the 3 stars; more precisely 2 1/2. Overall, it was a cool place to get together; the drinks and food were good although not sure of value for the money. I'd only come back here if my friends drag me back and they'll pick up the tab :-)

Joule was closed for what seemed a long time but they are back and, if possible, even better than before. We had a phenomenal Korean fusion dinner tonite including salad and shrimp appetizers and steak (perfectly prepared with kimchi) and a side of risotto. And even had room for the chocolate sesame cake - all superb. Wonderful neighborhood partner to Revel. Outstanding flavors, great service. Glad Joule is back and still a jewel.

Had heard good things about the food so had high expectations which were surpassed! There was a group so we ordered a large variety of small plates and appetizers.
Corn bread with gouda cheese is magic. The bacon butter to die for with the seaweedbutter close behind. We all loved the shortrib burger, but it is very rich.
Kimchi was not remarkable and there should have been Korean beer on the menu but over all the best in terms of creativity and taste. On my must go to place in Seattle
