We've just spent three wonderful nights at Petit Hotel Marseillan and the only thing wrong with our stay is that it was several nights too short! The Hotel is stunning - the bedrooms, living space, breakfast terrace and pool all furnished to the highest standards. Nothing is too much trouble for Birgit and Peter. They always have time to tend to your every need - be it directing you to the honesty fridge for a chilled bottle or rose, or sorting out the bikes and drinks for a long cycle ride down to Marseillan Plage and up the coast towards Sête. We booked late for the Bastille weekend so were in one of the rooms at the front of the hotel which wasn't a problem, but for more private outdoor space, I'd go for one of the rooms overlooking the pool. The beautiful harbour town of Marseillan shouldn't go without mention, nor the small, but lovely selection of restaurants in the town. Birgit will happily make reservations for you - and it is worth taking on board her recommendations! There is also a fabulous wine bar, come coffee shop, come sandwich bar, come ice cream parlour, come fashion and jewellery shop right across the road from the hotel. What more could you need?

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautifully presented and offer spacious, spotlessly clean accommodation but the ones overlooking the pool afford more private outdoor space.

There are many amazing properties down this way but usually there is a compromise of some sort. This one has everything. Don't be fooled by the sleepy exterior facade of the building situated in this very smart Harbour town. Go through the doors and then say WOW! and then keep saying it for the rest of your stay. Boutique and very tastefully done inside. We were two couples and took the two top rooms each had an amazing terrace and were very private. Both rooms were decorated with a very modern and vibrant flair with lovely furniture and fittings. Brigid and peter are two of the most welcoming and friendly people you could wish to meet. She totally understands the meaning of the word Hospitality. So chilled yet totally focused on all her guests. Always made time to chat and have a drink around the amazing hollywood style pool area. Peter arranged a bike trip for us and provided the bikes the route and the drinks. He also did a BBQ for us one lunch time. Real nice guy. This is the only place to stay in this area.

Room Tip: Top two are fab.

We recently had a long weekend break ,along with 4 of our friends, and were absolutely delighted to have found this small hotel-the rooms were spacious and attractive as was the rest of the hotel -everywhere were interesting little touches which gives this hotel such character -breakfast [which was great] is taken outside on a large terrace overlooking the swimming pool which was such an attractive environment. In addition Birgit and Peter and their friend Sylvia could n't have made our stay more enjoyable -absolutely nothing was too much trouble -advice re and booking of restaurants and advice re trips etc. This hotel will not disappoint you
David and Lyn Irving

Room Tip: I would prefer a room overlooking the pool

Ok, usually these sites make the accomodation look fantastic, this however is fantastic, everything and more than the photo's show! We stumbled upon this place and planned to stay a night, but stayed for 4! Birgit and Peter were possibly the nicest hosts we have ever had the pleasure of staying with and made you feel like part of the family. Their local knowledge and recommendations of retaurants and things to do were spot on. They even went to the trouble of organising a special meal for us at their favourite restaurant as the dish we really wanted was not on the menu! Even though we were a couple travelling on our own, they were more than accomadating for people with families and pets, something we will keep in mind for our future travels. If there was a rating better than 5 stars, The Petit Hotel deserves it! PS the breakfast is amazing!! Thanks Birgit & Peter

We stayed for just one night before heading south for a couple of weeks and we wished we could have stayed longer. A beautiful house, with great attention to detail and a fabulous ensuite bathroom. The pool is delightful and Birgit is a very welcoming, helpful host. Lovely breakfast too!
