No wonder this gets good revues. It is a little hidden away compared to other local restaurants and the outside appearance is a little shabby, but that's often the way with good restaurants. Inside was fairly austere also, but the service was good and the food when it came was really amazing. We had begun to think they were keeping us waiting to increase our bar bill, but it was clear that a great deal of time and care had been lavished on all our individual dishes. We all agreed we could have eaten everything that was present to us and would unhesitatingly return next time we are close

Ok the the front of house Madame may seem harassed but she tries so hard to ensure everyone has the best experience they can.
The quality of cooking was by far the best we experienced in the town. The salmon mouse filled éclair was the lightest tastiest thing I could imagine, mains were terrific and the puddings. , oh the puddings....
Well worth not sitting at the quay side for the best food in town

We visited Chez Philippe at the suggestion of relatives who live nearby. We went with them and two others. Our daughter was with us. She uses a wheelchair. total of seven. The staff immediately made space for the wheelchair and were (mostly) attentive to our needs. The food was excellent with a variety of seafood that would satisfy all but the fussiest of diners. The simple sardine entrée was deceptive, in that it appeared nicely presented without being special but was simply delicious. Again, a variety of main dishes satisfied all seven of us, five with various fish dishes, two of us having breast of chicken. The desserts we had decided to eschew but gave in and the seven of us shared about four desserts. We were not sorry to have submitted to what was on offer. All this was blessed with wine that was well-priced and sunshine on the terrace. Recommended. Watch the maitresse'D; fascinating performer.

We could have eaten any of the five choices of starters, main course and desert from the very competitively priced menu. Presentation is excellent and is equalled by the quality of the food. Good selection of wines also reasonably priced.Service was efficient and unobtrusive - and the restaurant was full. We sat outside on the terrace - very comfortable surroundings.
