Les Chambres d'Andrea
Ranked #5 of 8 Marseillan B&B and Inns
Reviewed 29 August 2013

We stayed at Chambres d'Andrea for 5 nights recently and having stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world for business and for pleasure, I could not fault it. Everything was superb from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Stephanie, Philippe and their team do an amazing job of making you feel welcome and relaxed. Everything throughout the property has been carefully considered with attention to detail and comfort in every aspect. The whole house is tastefully decorated in a way that instills calm and relaxation, the colours, the furnishings, the small touches all around. The beds are really comfortable helped by the soft cotton linens. Unlike to many hotels, there was ample wardrobe space so everything could be put away adding to the uncluttered feel. The sumptuous breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, breads, pastries, ham, cheese and yoghurts served in the garden set us up for the day. The pool area is tranquil with lovely loungers, chairs and hammock. In the evening the carefully considered lighting makes it all look even more magical. With lots of good restaurants including Maison Camille owned also by Stephanie and Philippe just a short walk away on the port at Marseillan this is an ideal location to spend a few peaceful and restful days.

Room Tip: The suites are beautiful with plenty of space, the ground floor bedroom has direct access to the gar...

We stayed 3 nights in Les Chambres d'Andrea in Marseillan, a beautiful old stone house in the heart of the village. The owner Stephanie was most helpful and lives nearby if there are any problems. It has 5 rooms and we stayed in No. 4 a beautifully decorated room with a large sitting room overlooking the street. There is traffic noise but thelovely french windows have double glazing and their is airconditioning. This room is on the first floor, but not many stairs. The grounds are lovely with an inground pool and a petanque pitch and on a nice morning breakfast is served in the garden. Breakfast is simple but lovely, everything very fresh including delicious melon. I would certainly recommend staying here for a few days. You can walk everywhere in the village but if you have a car there is off street parking at the house. Marseillan is a lovely village which is not overrun with tourists (even in August) with a beautiful port, old town and close to some wonderful beaches.

Room Tip: room 4 is very spacious. Room 1 is on the ground floor and opens onto the garden.

We had a fantastic week at Les Chambres d'Andréa, beautiful house, room and surroundings with a delightful breakfast served each morning outside in the garden. The location is perfect, it takes a few minutes to walk to the Port to all the restaurants and bars. Stephanie the host was just wonderful, so friendly warm and welcoming. Stephanie and Phillippe also have a restaurant in Marseillan port called Creperie Camille which is also well worth a visit, lovely atmostphere and good food. 100% recommended for both.

Les Chambres d'Andrea exceeded all of our expectations. The room, garden, pool and communal areas are all immaculate and stylish, but what really stood out was our host Stephanie who was hospitable, friendly and attentive and really knows how to make her guests feel welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing environment to stay within a short walk of Marseillan's restaurants and bars.

Room Tip: Chambre 1 on the ground floor was contemporary and minimalist but extremely comfortable.
