“Great times had buy all”
Reviewed 11 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

What a great wee cottage in the heart of the wine valley, we did have trouble finding it because we traveled down from Le Mans not from the directions given from the port, but once there it was worth it the heated car conversations with my wife.
The cottage has every thing you need, a loads of board games etc for the Children a nice out door area to BBQ and eat out doors.

The kitchen works as it should and again everything you need is there.

**due to the weather and local fishing ponds we had a lot of midges flying around and got a load of bites.....Take a can of spray and do spray the bed rooms half an hour before butting the children down you will be fine.**

Visit the Biopac (THE ZOO) you will have a great time there remember in the heat of the day the animals will be hard to find as they hide away from the sun, try early morning you will see everything. its the best park we have visited, we spent about 6 hours there.

Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did

“Very nice stone house close to vineyards, very good price!”

We have really enjoyed our three days stay in this little nice stone house. It is very well decorated and well equipped, though it is not suitable for everybody ... (The stairs to second floor -with the three bedrooms- and the second floor itself are very narrow and low ceiling. But this was not a problem at all for my husband and I and our three children:13,10 and 6 years old. We are all less than 1,73 meters tall and slim).
We visited beautiful places within one hour drive like Saumur, Chateau d'Ussez and amazing gardens of Chateau de Vilandry. Less than half an hour by car we enjoyed an incredible lunch at Chateau Colbert. And one hour by car is the incredible Puy du Fou Park. Hope to come back soon!

“France as it should be ”

Although we have holidayed in France almost every year for the past 15 years this was the first time we had visited this region, and we were not disappointed. The area offers a great range of attractions for all ages, we didn't have time to go to the local zoo, we were reliably informed it was a must for our next trip here. The Troglodyte village was very fascinating and our 10yr old twins loved it. The cottage itself has a secluded location but this was not an issue to us and we actually felt this was an advantage. The garden is a good size and has a brick BBQ which we took full advantage of. The cottage is well equipped and the owners seem to have thought of every thing you need even down to a selection of DVD's and games should the weather not be so good. We also made full use of the local caravan site swimming pool and bar/restaurant (temporary membership for a small fee). One of the highlights of our holiday was a trip to the local vineyard, two minutes walk from the cottage, where we tried the full range of wines available before we purchased a good stock to bring home. This can be as hectic or as quiet a holiday as you want it to be. We are looking forward to a return soon.
