Our travel agent made a booking at this hotel and said it looked to be value for money. It was not until the day before we got there that I looked at Trip Advisor and saw review after review slamming the hotel. So as we arrived expected a Fawlty Towers.
What we got was check in at 12.30 pm after spending the morning in Anchorage after arriving at 5 am from Honolulu .The lack of delay then was most appreciated.
The internet worked fine in the rooms and lobby. The lifts were fine. The view from the window was great. The restaurant was more than adequate and somewhat unexpected the waiter treated guests to short opera singing pieces. He was off to Fairbanks to do a show for three weeks. My main meal was too spicy for me but that was my mistake as I didnt read the menu carefully enough but the waiter insisted on charging only half
The bed and bathroom is below par from our normal standard but in the end I can only agree with another reviewer that this is a perfectly acceptable three star hotel and if you paid a three star price then it mets expectationsMore
