its a decent hotel looks a little tired in some areas but generally clean and helpful staff.
it even has a pool and decent gym but you need to ask about this, its not in the room information. We actually could not get into our room till 1700 on the first day and when we did it was 83.5 deg F. We needed a maintenance man to fix this but then it stayed in cooling cycle and the room was continually on the cold side so we had to turn it off to warm up! To compensate they provided complimentary breakfasts and a late check out so about even then. I think they also put us in a better room as we were messed around so badly on the check in. The convenient location allows good access to restaurants and bars. There are two big stuffed bears in the lobby which are definitely worth a look. buffet breakfast is good quality. It handles big coach / cruise parties so its a bit of a boot camp. All in all good location for an ok hotel if you can get it at a decent price ( try for breakfast to be included) We had several problems but they were laid these out objectively and the staff responded in a reasonably fair way. Anchorage is one of the friendliest places i have ever visited, this is true for much of AlaskaMore
