My boyfriend and I recently stayed the Anchorage Marriott for a conference/pleasure. We found it to be nice. Nothing to write home about for sure but clean, quiet and in a decent location. People tend to stay at well known brand hotels because they expect to get a certain level of quality and that is the case with this hotel. It meets the minimum standards one would expect from a Marriott but it certainly didn't surpass our expectations. However, the one exception to this rule was the food. We were nicely surprised at how good the food was whenever we ordered room service or ate downstairs. For that alone, I ranked it a 4 star instead of a 3-star.

ok - but not as nice as Marriott's in the lower 48.
We stayed here as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise-tour. We may have chose a different hotel if we were on our own.
The room had two double beds, while we prefer queen. After a full day of flying, we did not pursue a room change.
Staff was friendly and available.

Lovely room was great after hectic post Celebrity Cruise Denali Tour. We booked 1 extra night at own expense due to a red eye flight and our room was never cleaned before check out. Did not ask for resolution when returning at 3 pm since wanted to relax before departing for airport. On check out I informed front desk mgr of service shortcoming and he immediately offered to adjust rate. Much appreciated. Breakfast in hotel was tasty & excellent service.

Stayed here after the Denali National park visit on our trip to Alaska and before flying home. The view from our room was spectacular. The snow capped mountains, the blue sky, and the skyline of Anchorage. The room was spacious. When we checked in, using points, we were offered free wi-fi internet which was very nice. The room was great except for the problem that the toilet for some reason did not work in the morning after working fine in the evening. Had to fill the reservoir with water from the bathroom sink to get it to work. Called the front desk and while we went to breakfast, they had it fixed. Additionally, upon our return home, we got a message that the management wanted to offer us extra points for the inconvienence. Our breakfast was great as the waitress was very accomodating of our desires for some variations of the menu. All in all, a well run hotel, with good management, good accomdations and a great view.

Room Tip: Make sure you are up high and the view side of the building.

I didn't do much but sleep in the room, but it was very well appointed. The room was clean, and the view was amazing. My friend said the pool was a little on the cool side, so I abstained. The location is great.
