My wife and I took their Portage glacier tour on our first day in Alaska. We didn't plan this tour, but, made a quick enquiry on things-to-do at the hotel and ended up with this tour. We were pleasantly surprised! We loved every bit of the tour.
Our guide, Susan, who also happens to be the owner of these tours, was very warm and personable. She became one of our fondest memories of Alaska!
She took us on a comfortable drive, explaining every inch on the way and gladly stopping for taking picutres for us. She had a thorough knowledge of every aspect of the area. She even knows the names and life-stories of several animals at the wildlife conservation center. People were flocking towards our tour to hear her explain those details.
We did run into other guides of these tours at different spots on the way, and found them to be quite pleasant. We were left with a nice impression of people in Alaska in general!
We strongly recommend these tours to anyone visiting Anchorage, Alaska! And, we very strongly recommend visiting Alaska, it's a beautiful place!
